I've had the pleasure of meeting William in person early last year for my own made to measure. He (and of course Mr. and Mrs. Mahon) have been a delight to work with when buying something that seems expensive but will last a good number of years longer than anything off the peg.
*I AM SO JEALOUS* I have taught myself in my apartment in Bulgaria for over 5 years to pattern draft, cut and sew bespoke suits and I would have SO loved to have done an apprenticeship... EDIT - Yes, from books, and youtube videos just like William - so pleased for you William...!
Good Luck with your Apprenticeship William. You will learn a lot in the next few years. I started my apprenticeship in 1966 in Motorcycle Engineering. I loved the whole 5 years of it.
Around 1.02 minutes in there is a small snippet of Mr Hallbery on the wall, I paused it and zoomed in, I would love an episode dedicated to him, his stories and his history. Seems a very interesting individual but also very skilled. He would be proud that his legacy lives on and is being passed down to the next generation.
It’s was a pleasure meeting both of you in Atlanta! Looking forward to seeing William in front of the camera more often. Excited for what he has to offer to Redmanye 1860.
It’s a brave decision to follow one’s passion, instead of going on a direct career path out of uni. Absolutely the right choice! I wish the best on your journey!
this really puts a smile on my face! I'm happy to see William being an apprentice to a legend. Hopefully in 20 years time, I'd love to see William taking over Redmayne cutting, so much potential and positivity in him!
Currently doing exactly the same thing as William - 19, at University, frustrated with what is available, bought a sewing machine, and trying to learn tailoring at home from resources such as your videos and a (growing) stack of books!
I'm a retired UPS FEEDER DRIVER, but my passion is mens bespoke suit tailoring. Is it too late to start a new career? I'm willing to relocate to the EUROPE if need to.
William is a charming young man, had the pleasure to meet him during Redmayne’s recent trunk show in the States. Wish him and Redmayne every success.
Welcome to the fold William! With a great mentor in Tom, you won't go far wrong!

Be sure to video the creation process for your suits.
Well done for what you have done. That is worthy of a lot of respect. Best of luck with your endeavours.
Great attitude Sir. Really well done. Best, Tom.
@@karldelavigne8134 OH thank you very much
@@RickDeckard6531 - I keep getting asked, I might do at some point. Im a very private person and being on TH-cam does not make me feel comfortable.

I am not young and I am not gentleman but I would do exactly the same and not think twice. You are lucky dear William.

"Legend" a little exaggerated but very kind. Think Williams hoping a little less than twenty years. Thank you for the kind comment. Best,
Tom.
Welcome to the next generation! Learning from a master -- Mr. Mahon!
Hi William. I hope the first bespoke suit you make will be featured on the channel.

I'm sure it's frustrating but stick in and you'll get there. My very best, Tom.
Hello! Welcom William!
This is very inspiring. I want to be an apprentice with Savile row too one day. ❤
Good thing to aim for. Best, Tom.
Welcome aboard William!
