I discovered this show while living in asia for 15 years, from 2003 to 2018. It was a good indicator about what was happening in the US and starting to be a reality in Europe. I came back to France in 2018 and i was stupefied by the reality of this comedy, as it had time to develop and take roots in my -now changed- society. Somehow with Portlandia i was a bit prepared, but the reality check was quite something to witness. It took some time to grasp the full extend of it, and to adapt, partially. The show was rich of so many funny approaches for comedy, it took a while for me to process, as it would for any good rich meal. Quality stuff ^^ and thank you for that.
