I LOVE watching the younger generation loving the beegees!!! I was a teen when they were on top and these songs were being appreciated for the first time and they are burned into my heart for ever so it's great to see them being appreciated all over again!
The bee gees have so many great songs . I was a black dj..in the 70s, at most house parties I did, bee gees were very popular. People that grew up in the seventies, black or white love the bee gees.
This is one of my favorite songs of the bee gees. I love the line where Barry says I ain't no vision, i"m a man. Believe me Barry....all the ladies always knew you were the man....thanks.
It's a wonderful experience hearing these old Bee Gees songs, which sometimes were ridiculed by Rockers as merely "Disco". Alice Cooper once said he felt it was his job to drive a stake through the heart of disco at that time. Looking back over their extensive catalog, it's a humbling experience to realise how their music has withstood the test of time and has brought a new generation of music lovers into the fold. Great reaction ..
"You are the reason for my laughter & my sorrow. Blow out the candle. I will burn again tomorrow." That's one of my longtime favorite lyrics of theirs. Also, the song at that point is the perfect combination of lyrics & music.
I was born in 1978 when the beegees had 6 straight number 1 hits which will never be broken. My all-time favorite group. Always playing there songs in my car. Sad that Barry Gibb is the only one left. He is 74 years old now. Holding strong and still singing with his oldest son now and brother Maurice's daughter.
I grew up in the 70's & on the Bee Gees. One of if not my all time favorite groups of all time. I feel this song so deeply. This is definitely an all purpose song. You can cook, chill, back yard picnic, couple dance on this. Sad most of them are gone. I'm gonna be devastated when Barry is gone. No one can replicate this sound/look.
😍 the smile on you face when you're listening Bee Gees'music. It's their magic, amazing touch. These guys are so gifted, their music is just awesome♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Just some Bee Gees songs, out of many more: The kiss of Life The Only Love Just in Case One Living Eyes Blue Island Heartbreaker You Should Be Dancing Lonely Days Rings Around the Moon Alone For Whom the Bell Tolls (outside in NY version)
The oldest brother, Barry, adores love songs. He has written so many with his 2 brothers. Check out their latest documentary, “Bee Gees, How Can You Mend a Broken Heart.” It was on HBO. The best one I have seen…and I have seen a lot!
Other BEE GEES songs you'll like - Staying Alive, Love So Right, More Than A Woman, Be Tender With My Love, You Should Be Dancing, Jive Talking, and Night Fever. Some disco, some chill songs, I think you'll dig these!!! :))
They wrote a lot of great songs for other artists too. Check out Islands in the Stream with Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. Also Dionne Warwick...Heartbreaker.
The only Bee Gees songs you've done have been from their disco era and later. You won't get the full picture of The Bee Gees without listening to some of their early stuff from the '60s. Check out "To Love Somebody." They actually wrote it for R&B singer Otis Redding. But he died before he could record it, so they recorded it and had a huge hit with it. Also listen to "Words," one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. Most of us who were around for their early stuff think it's even better than the stuff they recording for the movie "Saturday Night Fever" and all that came later. The Bee Gees are easily one of the top five groups in pop music history. There's really no debate about that. They spanned different eras of music and reinvented themselves to stay musically relevant. Incidentally, if you ever have 90 minutes to kill, there's a fascinating biography on The Bee Gees that was done by The Biography Channel. It's on TH-cam. Worth every minute, and you'll hear a ton of their music through all their different changes. And you'll even hear some of the songs they wrote for other artists who went on to have hits with their compositions. A supremely talented group. So sad that we lost Maurice and Robin. Barry (the lead singer on so many of their later songs and the oldest of the "Brothers Gibb" -- hence the name Bee Gees) is the last man standing.
Listen to 'Stayin Alive' it's one of the most well known songs of the beegees and used in multiple movies. Plus the song Emotion by the beegees and that song was also sang by destiny's child.
The song was first used in the movie Saturday Night Fever at the beginning of the movie back in the 70's with John Travolta along with probably 6 of the beegees songs too. Very big hit songs during that time. The beegees were massive hit singers and music producers.
You need a Bee Gees playlist. You keep saying adding to wedding songs. You should check out How deep is your love, Wedding Day and I could not love you more ❤
I want to suggest some other 70's artists Steely Dan "Rikki don't lose my number" "Do it again" "Reeling in the years" "Peg" "Josie" "Deacon blues" "Kid Charlemagne" and Chicago "Saturday in the park" "Just you and me" "Make me smile" "25 or 6 to 4" "Wishing you were here" "Does anybody really know what time it is" "Beginnings"
Bruh Tee, Since you're on this journey thru the 70's, try Andy Gibb (youngest bro of the Bee Gees), Chicago, and Daryl Hall & John Oates, and Ambrosia. Andy Gibb songs-Everlasting Love, Don't Throw It All Away, I Just Wanna Be Your Everything, Shadow Dancing, Desire. Chicago songs-Baby What a Big Suprise, If You Leave Me Now, Call On Me. Hall & Oates - Sara Smile, Rich Girl, She's Gone, I Can't Go For That. Ambrosia songs-I Keep Holding On, How Much I Feel, You're the Biggest Part of Me, and You're the Only Woman. Holla @ me, I've got a ton more!!
You play Bee Gees music at home with your wife and you have a good chance of having a long happy marriage. I don't see you guys arguing a lot with this playing in the background.😉
Sir Barry Gibb had such a distinctive, soulful voice. The UK are so proud of the BEE GEES.

This song was the 6th #1 in a row for the Bee Gees at the end of the 70's which made the Bee Gees the Kings of Disco. :-)

A wedding song you say?, "MORE THAN A WOMAN".
I grew up with these guys and they have my number 1 band of all time since I was a kid and I’m 50 now. Greatest band of all time!!!
Bee Gees "Run to Me", a beautiful ballad that you will definitely want to play at your wedding! Please react to it. :)
Back when there was detail to the instruments and you could understand most of the words.
They wrote a lot of great songs for other artists too. Check out Islands in the Stream with Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. Also Dionne Warwick...Heartbreaker.
Simply Red,,,Sunrise...fire
They are a GREAT group! They use a heavy bassline so, as an R&B bassist, I'm there
New subscriber! You might as well go ahead and create a Bee Gees playlist. Now that you've started you will not be able to stop listening to them
Great reaction 🤣
Where are you. More Bee Gees, please.
I would suggest 'Alone' and 'You Win Again'. Both are absolute gems
Alone = the video with the three around the mic in the studio
You Win Again = I suggest the live performance (on German, I think) music show.
I was 10 in 1977 when bee gees exploded. I cant describe how huge they were
Look at 1974 I can't see no body with the other brother Robin singing ❤️. I just love them.
They also have a song wedding day. It's beautiful
Check out "Shadow Dancing" by the BeeGees baby Bro Andy Gib R.I.P
Bee Gees “Immortality” with Celine Dion live in Vegas. It’s so good. 🤟🔥
Loved the Saturday Night fever tracks, and another underrated song you don't often hear, Spirits Having Flown.

You Should Be Dancing is a Bee Gees song that Andy Gibb their youngest Brother sings with them. Bee Gees stands for Brothers Gibb.

You nailed it. Sunday morning cleaning the house music! Hey, check out Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty, and Stevie Ray Vaughn playing Voo Doo Child.
"You are the reason for my laughter and my sorrow.
Blow out the candle, l will burn again tomorrow." That says it all! They are fantastic!
Best line in the song imo
Backwards and forwards with my heart hanging out
You nailed it!
