    It looks like the Sudan did not regrow for second grazing. Is this correct?

      You are correct! After it goes to seed it will not regrow.

    40 days on 5 acers? How many units?

      @@RussWilson Quite impressive! Was that 40 days continuous this field only, rotating throughout the duration, or 40 days of grazing total, rotating through other fields? Awesome channel!

    Hey Russ good vid! Help me with the math and cost per head per day with $100 land cost $55 seeding and seed, times 8 acres = 1240$ divided by 400 grazing days is $3.10 per head per day!! Seems high iknw your building soil but. Did I miss something? Thanks keep making vids

    • @RussWilson
      @RussWilson  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      You missed a step in your math.
      land cost $100 + Seeding $55 X 8 Acres = $1240 for 8 acres
      400 grazing per acre X 8 acres = 3200 total grazing days
      $1240.00/ 3200 total grazing days = $0.39 per animal unit grazing day
      Trying to figure this stuff out can be very confusing sometimes. Thanks for the great question!!
