As mentioned in the video, this clear assumes giving Hayato a Heart Seal after Chapter 13 and training his axe rank in Invasion 1. He is Level 1 in this clear to demonstrate that he is capable of performing without the need for gaining stats from levelling up or the use of permanent stat boosters.
idk what part of this video is better: the fact that you can literally train up essentially base hayato super easily in one map or the daniela punchline at the end
I don't know why but the buff Hayato scares me. Like, I know they most probably just mix and match bodies and head to save time to make the 3D model of the characters especially when it's a game that has practically limitless potential on how you play a character. But that head does not match the body.
Can we all have a moment of silence over the berserker having a bolt axe but zero magic 😔 In conquest chapter 9 we get a Shining bow archer with 10 magic when the class has a 0 growth? & we also get a Bolt Naginata Spear fighter but idr his magic stat I’m just saying, Ik you don’t like enemies having skills birthright, but even modified stats is too much? Damn 😔 All lighthearted of course, i’m genuinely tempted to play birthright again, I only did it once years back, I’ll get to it, eventually lol
See whilst I really love Oboro!Rhajat I swear by mozu as her mother. She actually has a skill growth and aptitude really makes her pop. If you’re doing no-grind it is a bit less effective in terms of level up growths but she is ridiculously fast and bulky in oni and can get absolutely horrifying when her promotion kicks in and she’s suddenly got the horse spirit and doubles pretty much everything for a significant chunk of damage.
This is absolutely insane lol The fact that it frees up slots for other units to build supports earlier on is crazy and allows for so many possibilities. Not to mention that you’re doing this on Ryoma’s join map. Are there any particularly worthwhile units you can do this with? Either in BR or other routes. Btw, while watching, I was wondering if Hayato really benefits from a level 20 promotion. I’m not saying he should be promoted at 10 ofc, but promoting at 17 or 19 might be more worthwhile to give him a lower internal level and have Pride active more often in exchange for relatively few stats. That’s obviously assuming Pride takes internal level into account, which I’m not sure it does.
it may just be how i play the game, but i only really early promote if either a unit wants some Lvl 15 skills early or they are struggling in combat as an unpromoted unit. Hayato definitely isn’t struggling once he gets the Bolt Axe, and the only Lvl 15 skill i really think he may want are Tomefaire or Quixotic to boost damage and hit rates respectively, but neither are necessarily that needed for Oni Chieftain Hayato to work and can be waited or paralogue chained to get if wanted. for such a strong enemy phase unit, he will be gaining so much exp to the point where pride cannot possibly come into play past his training montage unless you just don’t use him for a section of the game, and that’s even if Pride doesn’t just say that promoted units are displayed level +20.
I was definitely wondering how you got Hayato to D rank but then I realized it was for demonstration purposes lmao This is interesting! I’ve always heard he’s a great bulky Oni chieftain (though that probably solely cause of you lol) but I never thought something like this was possible! Also you said Mechanist was a good class for Orboro endgame, is the class really that good in birthright? It’s one of my favorites! But I always play conquest, so I haven’t played with it too much rip Thanks for the breakdown! Honestly really cool
Mechanist is probably like top 5 Birthright classes? In such an enemy phase focused game, having 1-2 range that can double to build guard gauge is almost necessary to sweep masses of enemies, and so Shuriken and Tome classes rise to the top, with some more specific situations like Bolt Naginata or Bolt Axe users or Ryoma with Raijinto also doing the same. Mechanist is a more physically strong and bulky version of Master Ninja that while slower also notably has more move, which is big on maps like Ch23 to get into good enemy phase positions. It’s fairly equal with Master Ninja imo, but Conquest gives it a bad image because Kaze is much better focusing on going Master Ninja there to be an even better Mage Killer rather than have more general stats in Mechanist, whereas a unit having good general stats is ideal in Birthright due to generally low enemy quality. Low speed is also not really an issue because you get so many speed pair ups in Birthright and far easier access to Rally Speed.
it's been clarified in the video and pinned comment that this assumes getting his axe rank to D in invasion 1. He's only lv1 to prove he doesn't need good level ups to do this
@zlwilson21 No, neither makes sense here. If it was raised during paralogue, then there's no way Hayato is level 1, as one cannot gain weapon exp while not gaining level exp. If it was used by an arms scroll, then the other 50% wexp(or at least it looked like roughly 50%) he had cannot be explained unless he abused birthday or something.
It was probably hacked, this probably wasn't a clip from a playthrough but rather a set of units on a file set to be on this chapter for the sake of showcasing this strategy.
I normally went with Male Corrin back then whenever I played Birthright and Revelation. Felicia's the perfect pair up partner for Hayato. Plus, the height and age difference is adorable considering she wears heels. A lot of players generally went with female Corrin due to Jakob. I only went with female Corrin on Conquest since that route is on another level compared to the others.
I’d honestly be more inclined to say Setsuna. If you do train Mozu in villager, she can go Merchant and be kinda bulky in that class for enemy phasing. Setsuna needs specific effort and investment not to be 2 range locked, and even after she gets out of being bow-locked she still is so frail and so weak. Having speed as your only meaningfully good stat in a game with so many speed pair ups and easy Rally Speed is a recipe for disaster, because suddenly everybody can hit doubling thresholds
@@rattyxoxo7397 I’d honestly make an argument that even if Setsuna is hot trash, there’s still an argument to be made that she contributes more than Mozu because she can be useful in chapter 11 because she does good damage to all the fliers. Mozu to me never justifies being deployed after her joining map
@@rattyxoxo7397 Setsuna can reclass to Mechanist to retain her bow rank yet get 1-2 range access. I'm not sure a Heart Seal counts as "specific effort and investment", though to your point you only get a handful of them prior to the final rod shop upgrade.

cool clear, unfortunate that it relies on the extra weapon rank above d for the bolt axe when you prefaced it as a 'train hayato from base' strat
I think the idea is that you give him the chapter 11 arms scroll in addition to a heart seal

Li'l Hayato is making Papa Fuga proud.
definitely not using this to power up a paladin sakura or a rinkah. totally using this map for my guy hayato
The actual question is how does Hayato even has that specific amount of Axe weapon exp as a level 1 Oni Savage
It was mentions they he either needs training on an paralogue or to receive the arms scroll. I think the latter was the case for this example

Quick question: if you capture a unit, and you persuade them to join you, do they keep the equipment they had before being captured?
No. The enemy only skills Staff Savant and Inevitable End also aren't kept.
