One of the best soundtracks from Inception. The suspense, the feeling, the chord usage...and great combination of classical instruments with electronic sounds.
It's a bonus track that you can only download from the Inception official website. It doesn't exist on the original soundtrack. I don't know why they did that.... I mean, this was used at the most memorable scene (the hall way scene) in the movie....
@@OrangeUtan1 Thanks! I still make them, the newer ones from the last 6 years are on a differenet channel. Search iforgot87872 or i4got872 YTP and you'll find it.
if you take this title literally, you could think of this scene as someone thinking about elephants, and then a stampede of elephants appears and start destroying everything. Elephants are creatures from hell. They're really scary.
nothing but raw edge of your seat epicness hans zimmer is a tru orchestral genius! this soundtrack brings me out of my seat every time i hear it the movie itself is a work of art tho few can fathom it some dont realize that this isent just some sound in a movie it is hours of work and somtimes even 100s of people to create this beautiful sound i dont take this for grant thats why im here to enjoy i hope you all enjoy it as well
Inception does have to with dreams. To incept something, is to put an idea, which permeates within the mind, therefore hijacking the body. The usage of the term is correct in the movie, and it deals with the lower recesses of the mind; and because it dealt with corporate espionage in which one party wants to eliminate the other competition. Therefore the dream terrorists must use ideas to curve the course. This was also the case in the anime movie Paprika in which they use a similar device.
If you like these extra tracks, check out Zimmers recording sessions for Inception, There is loads of extra tracks that were in the movie but not officially released :) Just search on YT Inception : recording sessions
This film was truly remarkable..one of the rare movies that had brains, and yet filled with popcorn stuff...not to mention the amazing cast, all involved delivered resoundingly (pun intended)...a great achievement to Nolan, Leo and the rest of the team. I will tell my kids tales about how I went to see this magnificant movie at the cinema, and this will be like The Matrix to them...:)
@KaX321 dude, i watched 2 times in the theaters i wanna go again 10 times.. im getting the chills when i listing to any of these songs of inception. its the greatest movie of all time. thats it!
@mindfish21 Thanks for the link. I had no idea there were extras! Don't understand why they didn't just put it on the soundtrack that ppl buy from iTunes...
@hagen552 thats actually called a Lucid Dream. An Inception is only when you have a dream, wake up, then realize you are still dreaming and never really woke up in the first place. I have them like once every 3 months or so, but it usually is more than one layer, for example one time i counted i woke up 4 times before actually woke up. And they're not fun either, because i get freaked out when i don't know if im still dreaming. Also sometimes i can't move, like im literally in bed and cant move.
@JoseRCol2 yes indeed, and in all honesty, thats what lot of movies should be, to be entertained and to connect with the characters. Thats what I found so well in Nolan's films.
Inception is thought by some to be impossible because the inceptee's mind has an uncanny ability to trace the planted idea back to the person who planted it. For example, if someone tells you “Don’t think about elephants,” you may think of elephants, but this fails as inception because the originator-the person who ordered you not to think about elephants-can be traced as the source too easily.
Whether I asked you to think about elephants or not to think about elephants the outcome would still be you thinking about elephants. Elephant? Yes or no
@gir0and0smoove I'd assume because it's Arthur who is fighting and he is the one who said this earlier in the movie in regards to the concept of Inception. "I say "Don't think about elephants", what are you thinking about now?" "Elephants?" "Right, but you know that it wasn't your idea, you know that I gave it to you. The mind can always trace the genesis of the idea. True inspiration is impossible to fake."
You mean: do re me fa sol le ti do (c d e♭ f g a♭ b c): c harmonic minor. EDIT: it’s actually do re me fa sol le te ti (c d e♭ f g a♭ b♭ b) [corrected by Maximum Frequency]
If you tell not to think about something to a person, wouldn't your thoughts go to that thing you're supposed to not to think about to? I thought about elephants.
Sometimes when I listen to music like this, I imagine I'm on a high speed chase and I floor it when it gets to the climax. Awesome music for probably best movie ever made.
great soundtrack, also kinda sounds like Metal Gear Solid 4 music wich isnt completely strange since the composer for metal gear solid is hans zimmers student : ) (the composer for Inception)
Even after I was told not to believe in the elephants; I still do believe in the elephants. This movie is destined to be a cult classic like the Matrix.
It's been almost 11 years. And everytime I hear this track, it makes me want to fight somebody in a rotating hallway.
who agrees with me that Inception had the best ,larger than life, soundtrack ever? i am really addicted to this.
Simple but very effective.
Agreed.. You should definitely check out Interstellar, also :D
Nolan + Zimmer = Legendary Masterpiece
I ain't thinkin' about y'all either!
Signed, the Elephants.
lol
*Ivory Poachers have entered the chat*
"Dreams feel real while we're in them. It's only when we wake up that we realize something was actually strange."
"Turbulence on the plane?"
...
"Closer. It's Yuseffs driving."
nice
I always chuckled at that line because I thought Tom Hardy was saying "No, its useless driving" which kinda works better I think.
Cobb: "We finish the job before the next kick."
Eames: "What next kick?"
Cobb: "When the van hits the water."
*Cue this epic track*
every time i rewatch the movie, i tell everyone to shut up the moment i hear those lines bc this is my fav scene

This is my favorite arrangement of the music. It's weird it didn't come with the soundtrack when I bought it.

Joseph gordon levitt is hitting a major dab
LOL LOOK AT MA DAB
LOL
It's such a damn crime for this to not be on the OST album.
How is this a bonus track? This is probably the masterpiece of the album for me.
3:18 is my favorite theme in the soundtrack. Chills
agreed
That's why I keep coming to this every year. So rave-y
I've got the sudden urge to watch Inception again

I finally figured where the name of this song came from; it was a line Gordon Joseph-Levitt had said in Inception
2018 and I'm still hear listening to this!!!
I’m here in 2019 still listening to this
My co-worker walked in on me going crazy to this song. I couldnt explain what was going through my head, too epic.
this is by far my favorite piece on the Inception OST
Bad guys in a rotating hallway? Friends suspended in zero-gravity?
Only Arthur.
STILL a great movie?! Dude this movie shall continue to be, and will be, one of the classic films of the 2000's, even maybe of all time.
Not many movies have you coming back a decade later for more
The elephant is real.
+GmodPlusWoW Are we still elephanting?
TheNoFlinchGrinch
Well it's in the room, so...
+GmodPlusWoW The elephant is collapsing lol
I've actually seen this film 6 times now. All of which IMAX screenings.
If I listen to this while painting a room, I imagine that I am painting the Sistine Chapel...Or the Mona Lisa. Or anything by Vermeer.

Such an awesome name for such epic music. Elephants and paradoxes of life and all we know as time and dreams.
Nice, Nolan.
Listening to this track again LOVE IT!!
the sad thing thing is this that this movie is so good that i dont think that film makers ever going to make a movie as good as this!
