The FIRST Snow Trip for the 4RUNNER (and me)

- We were going to do to Slick Rock as an easy last trip of the year but then it snowed! So instead we went to Bald Mountain outside Fresno which happens to be at 7500ft and guess what, it was covered in snow! So snow wheeling it is! It was my first time ever snow wheeling and I had a blast! The 4Runner did ok but it would have done better with a front locker.

Looks like a blast
It was!
@@MechanicalAdventures it makes me miss living in Truckee but dont miss the shoveling that goes with the snow lol
@@danielkennedy5210 haha I’m right there with you! I haven’t lived in the snow for 15 years and I’m starting to fantasize about it
Nice
Love my yokohamas in the snow. What air pressure are you running?
I was down around 2-3 with no front locker
🏔️🏔️💯💯🔝🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙
Luckily your in the snow, that's probably the only place those junk milestar tires work halfway decent
I’ve had good luck with them in the short time I’ve had them, I’ve also seen the failures that people have had
They work everywhere, the problem is they don’t last long before they get ripped up on rocks
@@jonc7371 that’s what I’ve heard
Wow, I ran them and didn't get any traction on the rocks, once they got alittle wet they just spun, im glad you like them maybe I just had a bad experience with them, im running Goodyear Kevlars now and so far so good, happy trails brotha and be safe out there and STAY DIRTY!!
@@emro2645 I have the Goodyear mtr on my rock crawler and they have been really great
You being stuck is it due to those tires? I've been thinking of grabbing a set for the snow.
I wouldn’t say that was the only factor. I was the only one there without a front locker which makes a huge difference in snow. As far as these tires in snow goes, I’ve heard mixed reviews so I can’t really be helpful
@@MechanicalAdventures got cha. What size and what air pressure were you at?
Front locker does make a huge difference in snow.
@@ll4114 37s and I was down close to 0, probably 1-2 psi. The snow wasn’t great either, everyone was struggling at one point or another
what is your front bumper set up?
Built it myself, there’s another video of me finishing it on here as well
You were using 4 high or 4 low all the time in the snow?
4low full throttle!
Those 22rs must not be as stout as everyone says. Ive blown one up my buddy has and this guy on tiktok has gone through 14 i think 😂
Well it’s not the 22RE it’s the 3.4l v6 which is semi bullet proof! lol 😂
Also if someone goes through 14 of the same engines and/or cars they’re doing something wrong haha 😂
Awesome videos, I watched all of the 4runner videos tonight. What are you shooting with? The footage from Rubicon was amazing. Gopro or?
Yeah GoPro 9. Works great in a lot of scenarios and less good in some others but pretty versatile
