Muy buen video. Seguí los pasos punto por punto y se instalo perfecto. Si tenéis una pantalla diferente no os preocupéis, pero a la hora de programar los mandos del volante debéis conectar la pantalla del coche al wifi del móvil para obtener las actualizaciones. A la hora de seleccionar el modelo de coche no seleccionéis C4, seleccionar RAISE el modelo Peugeot 307. Mucho animo!!!

Salut! Masina pe care am instalat unitatea nu-mi aparținea și nu știu dacă proprietarul mai are unitatea sau nu. Cert este ca eu pe una din mașinile mele am o navigatie Android care merge de aproape 3 ani la fel de bine.

Hello. You must have the canbus raise PSA-RZ-01 decoder (that little black box behind the tablet), this one: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Dc8FjXf
Only this type of canbus decoder activates the application for controlling the original screen of the car.
Can you still look up data like consumption and stuff?
Yes. Just press the button on the end of the wiper stalk and that data will be displayed.

Il funzionamento di questi pulsanti dipende dalla versione di Android e da come viene modificata, ma conta molto anche il decoder Canbus (quella scatola dietro l'unità Android). Sai quale decoder canbus ha la tua unità Android?
@@AdrianDragan Ciao , i pulsanti non funzionano correttamente, mandano un tilt il display originale dell' auto. Il sistema Android è 7.1 e riguardo il decoder canbus non so la marca . Ricordo solo che la scatoletta decoder canbus è di colore rosso

I don't know how to answer this question because the car on which I installed the Android unit did not have rear parking sensors. Usually more expensive Android units are compatible with parking sensors, this is the cheapest unit.

Do the parking sensors even have something regarding to the radio? I don't know how it is in the C4, but in most cars the beeps are completely separate
I did put thay unit on my C4 today and it works great but I'm having some trouble with the parking sensors, the parktronic is not working now. I will investigate and if succeed in using it, will give an update.

Excellent job and video! Personally i have the 7 inch unit combined with dvd player unit and i prefer it because of cd/dvd unit. But i envy your bigger screen. Also my unit displays the temperature on the screen. One question about your unit, is it possible to turn off the screen during play the music?

The display of the outside temperature on the Android screen depends on the Canbus decoder.
I don't turn off the screen but if you want this I think you can find applications that do this in Google Play: play.google.com/store/search?q=turn%20off%20screen&c=apps

Hello. The Android navigation will display fuel consumption data, that trip computer. But you can also keep the original screen using an adapter frame, see my video at the minute 15:23

Hi, I got visually the same model head unit presented in this video for my 2005 Citroen C4 Coupe, my unit seems newer and has android 10 or an imitation of it. The menus have less options then what you show. The seller hasn't been able to solve this but I have no sound. Canbus kind of works, as in the steering wheel buttons work and travel distance data is being transmitted to the head unit - but still no sound. All cables seem to be connected successfully, I have taken them apart multiple times and tried again. What I find odd is all the citroen Canbus models in the settings have 2008-2015 models, the ad said 2004-2008 - maybe the Canbus is incorrect for my car (I have Raise PSA-RZ-15)? There is also a RCA harness and I tried a 5.1 audio set speaker connected to the output of the RCA audio out, the speaker didn't even have a faint sound coming from it. No app has sound, not radio or Music or TH-cam, nothing. Do you have any suggestions what to try to get any sound? I tried all the Citroen Canbus options in the settings, all of them have the steering wheel buttons work, none have any sound.
Hello. It seems that on your Android unit the problem would be from the sound amplification chip, so a possible physical problem. Talk to the seller and send him a video in which it will be clear that your Android unit has no sound output.
@@AdrianDragan Thank you for the information. I was in contact with the seller, the seller is confident that their device is working fine and tried very little to solve the issue. Eventually the seller stopped responding at all and I ended up getting a 20% refund with no return, because the return shipping cost more than the device price was. So basically I am stuck with this unit to solve it on my own. My mistake was that I did not order from a seller with the most orders, and it seems I have kind of been scammed. You are the first person to actually suggest a hardware fault, everyone else keeps looking at plugs and android updates and settings that do not exist.
I am familiar with electronics enough to want to look into repairing/replacing the broken part, so I will then open up the device and see what I find. It seems there is no other option really. Maybe I can bypass the internal amp and just get the sound signal from before the amp and connect that to an external amp.
Does an odb2 bluetooth adapter work for you ? With me I can not connect to it only wifi adapter work unfortunately.

Thanks for the detailed instructions. I ordered the new Q7 from this same seller.
The raise decoder I got doesn't handle keeping the old screen. It freezes and keeps the headunit ON without ignition, so I chose "C-Quatre" and controls works fine (no Citroen logo available though)
It's a 720p IPS, but it's a bad quality screen.
The RDS doesn't work (only station's frequency)
The frame doesn't stick perfectly to the dashboard (we can see it on your car too, and other tutorials on YT) there's always a play, and it wasn't easy to push the left side in.
I can't make Waze work. It keeps looping on the "get started" step. Did anyone have this issue?
Hello. I didn't have these problems. I think you should ask the seller about these issues.
@@AdrianDragan thanks to seller's instructions, I resolved the RDS issue through advanced configuration (but It doesn't display the radio names on the list, I guess I can do with that) I added a customized logo too (they don't include it because of copyrights)
The seller recommends also not using the old screen and the unit at the same time. I think the unit is enough anyway.
The only issue is the Waze application (I think there are maybe hidden buttons on lower part of the application that I can't check to get past this step) but if it doesn't work I can do with android auto or just maps on the unit.
Overall it's a good unit (for now) it freezes from time to time. But for approximately 100$ we can't expect perfection

Is the audio quality good ? It seems so cheap from the look.And did i really need the Canbus adapter ? Because the Seller site only says works with steering wheel control.
Hi. Audio is the same as the car's original radio unit. Canbus decoder comes in a box with the Android unit, so you don't have to buy another canbus decoder.

Hello Adrian, very nice video. It helped me a lot to mount the radio in my car, a 2005 Citroen C4 gen 1.
I'm having a problem with the canbus decoder. The android radio came with a Raise psa-rz-15 canbus decoder, which caused problems of bliking with the car screens (only if I maintain the original LDC screen). Following your advice, I replaced it by the model psa-rz-01, but the problem still persists. Do you know if there is some configuration that I must to change? The options that I have in my radio canbus settings are a little diferent. I've tried to configure it as a peugeot 3008 (maintaining the small screen) and as a peugeot 307 (04-09) without success. I forgot to say that my original screen is different of yours. It provides information about consumption, car state, etc... Maybe I should replace it?

Hello. You don't have to replace the original screen. Probably the settings for canbus are not suitable, try again with Peugeot 308.
Hello. Try to go in the car settings app. And scroll down to "car model" and select "4008 keep the original small screen" it could be good. Tick the "buzzer" case under "navigation sound" if you don't hear beeps from your rear parking radar.

Hello. I have not seen anywhere the frame for Android in carbon look. I think you can look for foil similar to yours and put it over the new frame.

Hello. I haven't tested on MyWay but I think it will work, as far as I know the main connection plug is identical to the one on RD4. if you also have JBL from the factory, it will not be compatible.

Hello. Sometimes it seems that the FM radio signal is weaker on these Android units. But I usually listen to online radio and for me FM reception is not a problem.

Hello, great video, i bought one of the radio on your link descriptions, but now I'm having this issue, I'm having battery drain issues since I've installed the radio, even tho I've turned of the hibernation and the radio shuts down every time i turn the car off, still have the battery drain.

Hello. The gps antenna and microphone come in a package, the reversing camera is not in the package from each manufacturer. The package I presented included the camera.
Do you know how to make the original parking sensors work? I had the original screen for parking. And now with this screen I don't know where to plug them.
Hello. You can keep the original screen by using the frame for it as you see in my video. I think the parking sensors could also be displayed on the Android screen if your Android unit has the PSA-RZ-15 Canbus decoder, although I'm not very sure about this compatibility. What canbus decoder do you have on your Android unit (that black box on the back of the Android unit).

Hola. La pantalla se conecta al enchufe con el cable con el que estaba conectada antes. Creo que estás hablando de cómo puedes controlar la pantalla desde la tableta Android. Es importante que tu unidad Android tenga un Decodificador Canbus que sepa controlar esa pantalla. ¿Qué decodificador canbus tiene tu unidad android? Totul a decurs conform pasilor facuti de tine cu o singura exceptie. Nu reusesc sa setez afisajul cu multifunctiuni. Am selectat din factory settings Peugeot 307 si nu a mers. Am nevoie de access doar atunci cand se schimba ora si ca sa fac asta montez radio/CD-ul vechi.
Comenzile din volan functioneaza indiferent de ce selectez in factory settings. Ai vreun sfat cu ce as mai putea incerca sau care ar fi cauza oentru care nu pot regla afisajul cu multifunctiuni din navigatie?

Sigur, este PSA-RZ-15 iar masina e Citroen C4.
Ar fi suficient schimbarea canbus-ului cu cel share-uit de tine in link-ul dat in raspuns?
PSA-RZ-15 este is a n decodor canbus care nu știe sa simuleze acele butoane pentru controlul ecranului original, PSA-RZ-01 știe sa facă acest lucru. Chinezul nu se gândește la păstrarea ecranului și pune canbus-ul nepotrivit. Deci poți cumpăra canbus-ul din link-ul de mai sus.

@Adrian Dragan I have the Riase canbus. Managed to fix it with trial and error.. I selected another model R012 listed in settings and that worked..
Although the existing display screen still thinks Radio is on but doesn't really bother me.

FIrst question is it will fit on my car, because Citroen made second generation of C4 exactly 2008 year, so I am not sure if mine is first, even it looks like the same as yours on the video( just with automatic gear). Second question is that on the link you provide, (first 2 links for silver and black frame), it says it is for 2008-2011 year. Salut. Am mai primit aceasta solicitare, din pacate nu prea am gasit o solutie buna. Probabil singura varianta ar fi adaptarea unei unitati 1din in locul radioului original, dar estetic nu va fi cea mai fericita varianta.

I do have a problem, The unit is connectet in acordance with your excellent video. All small white plugs are placed in what I consider the right places. Like an your unit the upper right place for a white connector is left open. The problem is that it will not power up. Completely dead. Do have a solution to that?

HI! I would like to install an Android system (S4 or V2 Plus model) on my 2004 C4 VTR coupé and I need to know a couple of things.
1) From what I have read, to maintain the multifunction display I need a Raise PSA-RZ-01 decoder and set the car model as "4008 keep the little screen". It's correct? Could I continue to manage that display via the steering wheel controls?
2) is it possible to continue using the rear speakers with the standard parking sensors?

1. To be able to control the multifunction display you need the PSA-RZ-01 Canbus decoder. I think you will still be able to use the option to adjust the multifunctional screen from the buttons on the steering wheel.
2. As far as I know, the sound of the parking sensors will only be heard from the buzzer integrated in the canbus decoder. I think it might be that yes if you use a Hiworld PSA1.20 or PSA1.21 decoder the sound of the parking sensors could be kept in the original car speakers, this happened to me on an S5 unit with a Hiworld decoder installed on a Peugeot 508.
P.S. Just as a small observation. I say it's worth spending about $30 more on the Android S5 navigation because it has a better CPU, more memory (64 Gb vs 32 Gb) better Audio processor. It's your choice.

2. Boot tome after restart: 40-50 seconds. Normal boot time when you turn on the key: 2-4 seconds.

@@KvartProductions From my experience I recommend an octa-core with at least 3gb Ram. It also works quad core but it is clearly better an octa core.
