Thanks for the video. I'm going to go check those two fans immediately and replace them if necessary. I recently purchased a 2004 Element, converted to right-hand drive for a rural postal delivery route. It recently began overheating while driving these steep and rocky mountain roads in Western North Carolina.
Tip if your overheating going up hill turn your heater full blast fan full blast it will take some of the heat away from your engine might be enough to get over the top
Mine overheated yesterday in AZ. First day of 99 degrees. Turn on the heater worked to get the car cool to drive home. Was only about 1 mile away. Checked the coolant this morning and it was down about a quart. Fans both work. Going to drive later when it gets hot and see what happens. Maybe the temperature sensor? No leaks on coolant.
I had one honda element with the fan switch failure, it will don’t work sometimes or will open late . Having an scanner to check the temperature to make sure the fans are coming on on the right temp
@@Element_lifestyle can you please make a video on how to use this? Both of my phones aren’t working and the relay seem to be good. I was told by AutoZone it’s probably the coolant temperature sensor. Don’t want to replace the fans if I don’t have to.
Mine had the same problem but I only bought the fan motor I did not buy the fan now it works just wanted to see if a lot of people had the same problem
How you doing folks I just bought a night 2004 element 153,000 mi she runs beautifully unfortunately this starter failed on me but I got that repaired now she starts up like a brand new car. I am wondering however if the 2004 can use green antifreeze because that is what's in it please let me know thank you
AND you completely skipped over the wire with the two white clips at the bottom of the fan. There's no room and no way to see hoe they release. These two clips are easily the hardest part of the fan replacement. The bottom splash guard is an engineering tragedy as well.
Hi I have a question that may have already been answered perhaps? What if when I turn my A/c on max ONLY the right passenger side fan turns on, but NOT my left drivers side? Does that mean I have to replace that drivers side fan as well? I also overheat with A/C on going uphill
Brother, mi Element no le prenden los fans cuando prendo el AC. Ya le cambié el AC Fan con uno nuevo y solo prenden cuando le pongo un poco de regarga al AC. Que será?
I have a 2007 Honda Element SC and I noticed the radiator fan was not spinning during testing. Are both fans 2 different parts or are they the same? Do I need to get a right and left or just 2 of the same part I need clarification.
First check the coolant is in proper level inside the radiator . The Make sure when you turn on the a/c both fan are working , if both fan are working then is a big chance it can be the Dan switch going bad.
Is that the a/c condenser fan,or the radiator fan that cools the radiator? I replaced both even the coolant sensor but still getting almost to the red mark mark going up the mountain. The fan both works with the a/c on,what could it be?When going down hill the a/c cold comes back going up it goes away and back to warm.

Thank you for ALL your videos... The video saved my Element.

Awesome Tip . 👍
It’s good to do it always to have the best mpg also
I love this channel, I have an honda element and all issue I have I can find it here
Thank you so much 🤗
thanks my honda element friend!!!
🙏
This was extremely helpful!
Great service and servicing
Please what causes the D on drive blinkers when you drive?
@salimi.sheriff7608 transmission issues. Read the codes and you might have to replace a solenoid located on The transmisión
Thanks for all these E vids!
Glad to help. Thanks for like & Subscribe :)
Dude we gotta get our Elements together sometime 😁👍
It will be nice. Looking forward for next meet
Up.

Check for coolant leaks first tho since you said you added some. Missing coolant will make overheat

I had to replace this last summer, good to have cold a/c again!
Same here. I. Glad problem is fix. And saved lot of money :)
Great video by the way!

Lots of people are having this problem. I saw it in a facebook element group. Did you buy a denso motor?
@@Element_lifestyle I don’t know my brother got it for me

How long did the radiator fan last before it also needed replaced?

Thank you 👍
Does the condenser fan works only when the AC is turned on?
Also it works when the ac off, but it should come on on and off . Same as the radiator fan 👍
@@Element_lifestyle thank you, I'm taking it to fix tomorrow, thankfully it's cheaper to do this kind of jobs in Mexico, around 75 bucks.
just started having the overheating problem when idling / parked with the car running!
Check your coolant level first. While engine is cold.
If coolant level is ok. Turn on the a/c and make sure both fans are working

What if I want to replace my other fan as well, is that the same fan for the other side? The driver side?
Is a different part number
The radiator fan has 5 blades and the condenser fan has 7 blades
Had the same thing happen to my CRV. Had to turn the car off every time at a red light until I got the fan replaced.
Glad you fix it. It sucks having this problem especially in long drives.

Hi, they are 2 different part numbers
I'm having this same issue, however if I turn the AC on, the engine cools back to normal. I'm wondering if mine is the radiator or radiator fan?
First check the coolant is in proper level inside the radiator . The Make sure when you turn on the a/c both fan are working , if both fan are working then is a big chance it can be the Dan switch going bad.

Sounds like your condenser fan, the one that has 7 blades. The only thing that you can change is the thermostat and purge the cooling system.
Tip:
1. The radiator fan (driver side) has 5 blades. Dorman #620-232
2. The A/C condensor fan (passenger side) has 7 blades. Dorman #620-233
Can someone leave the part number?
