Faranga is a volcanic island, located east of the Southern Seas archipelago, in the general vicinity of Gaurus, and is inhabited by different factions of humans. Although the climate is tropical, sub-climates and vegetation zones offer some variety.

I think Risen 1 soundtrack perfectly balances the epicness of G3 soundtrack while still retaining that ambient vibe from the first two Gothic games. This here is some of the best music I've ever heard.

To me this music is always connected with a certain feeling of solitude. Cause it mainly played for longer episodes in the later chapters, where it sometimes happened that enemies were dead or battles short, I am often reminded that I roamed the island between the teleportation points.

Risen 1 was a pretty good game, I liked it, it reminded me of Gothic 2 Jharkendar map, its has some good similarities with the swamp base/bandit base. The music was Marvellous.

@@amoeb81 Kairo is like an RPG music god, the Hans Zimer of gaming, I still listen to his musics in compilation hours at end regularly, no man can create atmosphere as great as Kairo.:D
