this video may be 5 or so years old but i still love re watching these videos, watched it as a kid, gone to continue to re watch em still amuses me of how the lines used to operate before all these upgrades, i rekon these train videos would be great in a train museum gives other kids a taste of what these old lines used to look like
Apologies for sounding dumb but how come the boom gates took a while to react that the train was coming? Is there a lever or something that gets triggered for when the train is so close to the crossing? I like your videos!!!
The boom gates are approach activated. When the track circuiting near the signal detects the train near the signal and only near the signal, thats when the electric impulse is sent to activate the gates.
Currently, there are no stations after Armadale, as the line has been closed for major construction works. When the line reopens in 2025, the next station after Armadale will be Byford.
@@adx6662 Before the shut down, the only train that went further, was the Australind down to Bunbury, including Byford, but as already said, the latest works is adding Byford to the Metro network, with Electrification. That was the reason for the shunt, to get the train off of the station, in order for the Australind to come through.
