All the talk about the roster turnover, but let's give some big love to the Colorado players that stayed, competed, and earned their keep. Woods is a legit safety and forced a fumble and caught a great INT in the end zone. Big shout out to the guys not being mentioned in the new CU fanfare
At every level of any sport from middle school on you have tryouts to earn your place. People clutching their pearls over turning over the roster are the good ole boys club that want the bluebloods to control college football forever. Also, the Power 5 coaches want him to fail because it’s one thing to need to flip a roster and another to actually have the ability to do it. Name any coach in the country that can turn up at a 1-11 and convince blue chip recruits and dudes already at SEC schools to come to Boulder other than Deion Sanders? Not Saban, Day, Smart, Dabo, nobody. Deion is not just a Gold Jacket, he’s literally a cultural icon with the smarts and charisma needed to get it done.
What was the last 1-11 team that sold out all of their home games the following season (before the season started)? Coach Prime has already paid dividends for Colorado. He also paid dividends for TCU because the Colorado game set an all-time attendance record for a TCU game.
Much respect has to go to Rick George who had the courage, balls, confidence in Deion Sanders, to hire him. Much respect also goes to the President and Administration to change some of the admission policies that allowed players to transfer in who probably would not have been eligible to play right away.
Gentlemen, the US Military does this every day, all branches. They take kids, from everywhere, and turn them into cohesive disciplined teams. The Colorado Buffalos used that same formula...Isolation, discipline, and intense training, daily. And they do it all in an average of 90-120 days. The coaching staff refers to the navy seals often in their training. Don't be so amazed they have pulled this off.
@@heartbreak25 I served 3 years with the Marine Corps and 7 with the Navy. Isolation= Bootcamp. Discipline= Bootcamp. Intense training daily= Boot camp.

👍.......Great reporting Great Interview from a former OGuard. He's should do a Weekly sement on the New 2023-24 Colorado BUFFs he bring a great point of view from a one time BUFFs player. Love your reporting.....👍👏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👏👍
What's the background on McChesney's kid? Not that stars are everything but what's his start rating, what year is he in, what's up with the recruitment by Utah and ultimately....is he a lineman and is Colorado recruiting him and is he interested?? Somebody....please respond!
On a serious note, why are you calling him Deion over and over ......? he has made it clear to address him as " Coach Prime, " If that is too much then address him as Coach Deion ......
Coach Prime may not say this, nor will he think it is a worthy topic: latitude. Does your team benefit if you athletically train 3,000 feet above sea level and play at or about sea level? Of course, it does! When Coach Prime has highly skilled players signed onto CU, he will have those individuals, even if outplayed, come back due to endurance and conditioning. Latitude training means something.
A lot of big talk here, but no mentioned the fact that TCU is clearly overrated and Colorado has a pathetic defense. Colorado will fit the Big 12 well, all offense and no defense.😂
Let's be real there weren't alot of coach's interested in the Colorado job, that's a school where it is challenging to get kids to want to come play, well kids that are good enough to play with starting time available to them, not in those mountains. It is a beautiful campus, but location, location. Prime would have been great at Auburn, but no school like Auburn wants the Prime baggage.
@@spiceedre8017 The Prime baggage is what was on full display after the win, at the press conference. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance and basically Prime has created 2nd chance University and that's fine, the problem is kids and parents know it, that's why he isn't recruiting well at high school level, on 8 Signe and the period ends in December. Not 🚫 to mention he getting on the racial boo hoo, when it's not a issue.

You are hearing it here first. CU scores 60 points on Nebraska. 400+ passing and 200+ rushing. Remember this post! If he plays…Mcaskill gets over 100 yards rushing in his debut.
let's be real here, rick goerge wouldn't know a good coach from a bad one..IF it hadn't been for Jeremy Bloom telling him to take a look at CP, he would have made another bad hire..he was desperate, his job depended on making a splash so let's not get carried away with giving the AD credit that he doesn't deserve
he was desperate but he still made the hire. he deserves some credit. his neck also on the line as you say. We believe in prime but if the doubters / haters were wrong Rick George would have to fall on the sword too. Also I dont know what other hires he has made but Colorado isn't some great destination for other sports. So if you are talking about not hiring a great basketball or baseball coach I think thats ridiculous. If you are talking football hires it takes someone with Prime confidence and outside the box thinking. In the past few years coaches from successful G5 schools wouldn't want to go to Colorado. A coach like Luke Fickell for example wouldn't take the Colorado job. He would wait for Wisconsin to open up. I agree give Bloom credit too but to act like Rick George is doesn't deserve credit just seem very bitter.
Why do I defend CU? Because I know how focused and hard these elite coaches and this football team worked to be where they are. Within 8 months... these coaches and these young man dismantled, reworked, built and rebuilt, studied, stood, reworked their own lives and goals and embraced this mission to the fullest... smart, tough, fast, discipline and character. You cannot deny them their success and greatness and what they are yet becoming. They are already stars!🌟🖤🤎👌🏾💯

And we do! Woods was awesome! Only 9 players stayed out of the entire roster.
