Jodie had a wide range of emotions for Key's well-being while at the consultation. It appears that she was the more anxious of the two, while Key was busy being a ladies' man with the vet. It was a relief to hear that overall Key is doing very well! 🤗💕🐾
I think you right by choosing not to begin any treatment until find out what is happening with Keys liver. If you get that sorted you can decide again if that other treatment is right for Key. Only do what you believe is right Jodie. All my Love to everyone Annette❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Good point. I haven't been able to watch this video yet, but you'll definitely want to be careful with any stress the treatment puts on his liver. I love you Key & I want you to be well. Nan & Boo too ❤.
Totally understandable to be cautious about liver eadings which both Sherpa & Phil (Life With Malamutes) needing treatments. Fingers crossed,& know he couldn't have a better Mum,(& Nan)❤
Jodie, Considering Key's age and size, he seems to only have a small amount of Arthritis and that is good news. His overall good health comes down to the great care and love you give him. We do not realise just how big a dog he is until we see him sitting beside you, and it is so funny to watch him trying to get his biscuits and cuddles. Still saying prayers for a healthy Liver and less stress for Jodie.❤
Sounds like overall the visit went well Jodie. You made the right decision. Try not to worry too much about the liver count. It will more than likely be nothing of concern. Key looks like a happy, healthy boy. Love to you all.💞💞💞
Hi. For his liver, try giving him Milk Thistle extract. You should be able to get it wherever you buy vitamins. At his size 500-600g 1 hour before a meal should help with liver health.
Doesn't it feel great when our senior dogs' blood reports show they are in good health? My Eskie is on raw, too, and the vet said he's in great shape...he's 11 yr & 5 mo. Lovely to hear.💙 I understand your anxiety very well, and I think you made the right decision for Key. He's an awesome guy...handsome...cuddly...funny...silly. 💙 And, you're a great mum to him.💝 Ohhh, there might be some struggle between those two over less biscuits. Make sure you get some video. Hugs and love to Key, you and Biscuit Lady. 💙💙
I love the way he rested his legs on your leg. He is living his best life because he has you as his loving, caring beautiful mum and he has the best nan that he could ever have. He is a very special boy.
Thank you for keeping us updated on Key’s health. We all love him so much. My Zinnie kitty sends hugs from Upstate New York 🇺🇸. Wishing you all safe, happy & healthy days ahead! 🐾❤️🐾
So glad to hear that overall Key is healthy. Also glad to hear that he doesn't really have very much arthritis. I know that it was a relief for you to find out. Still praying for the cheeky monkey. I hope that the diet changes, the new harness, and the laser treatment help him.
Jodie, reread my prior post for more complete information on moving forward. Additionally you can get a combined near infrared and red light wrap for both his right hip and right wrist. The pet ones are much more expensive than human ones. Get one for humans without plastic as it can cause burns. This helps with mitochondria as well as relief. I look forward to more liver enzyme testing.
ALT can go up after a fatty meal, even after 47 hours. I like the tips that the vet gave you, so that you can make Key's daily activities less stressful for him, and not further aggravate his joint issues.
You did the right thing. Key is just a huggable, lovable handsome boy and you are a great "weirdo" fur-mum! Please give him a big hug and many belly rubs from me. You and your mum are great for him....he is so lucky to have you. Love to you all❤❤❤
Really do appreciate the information about the joint fluid and stem cell treatment. Thank you so much for sharing and getting the word out about this possible help for our furry family
Key is such a lovely giant fluffball ❤ so adorable & even though he's 10 he seems like a giant pup still. So lucky to have weirdo who looks after this fluffball so well! Love this
Thanks for putting the vet visit in layman's terms. It helps me understand what she told you in the video of his visit. I hope his liver tests normal and you can do the other things suggested. Key is definitely food motivated so maybe he would enjoy the lower fat treats like Nook eats now. Keep your chin up, Jodi! ❤ and 🙏 from Alfredo Meower and his nan, Linda. Alfredo does laser treatments and hydrotherapy for bad knees, so he sympathizes with Key! ❤🐱
Jodie i just wanted to add to my previous comment that i think that K'eyush is an absolutely sweet and amazing dog (human). Thank you so much for sharing him with all of us. Take care. Much love to all of you. ❤️ ❤❤🫂🫂🫂😘😘😘👱♀️👩🦳🐺
We all know that you are going to do what is best for K'ey. I had a similar thing when you talked about the calcification of my Achilles. Had to have it surgically removed. Anyway, I hope his continued therapy goes well and we all know he will be happy as long as you and the 'biscuit lady' are around. Make sure you take care of yourself too. He needs you to be strong!! We all know you are. :) Thanks for the explanation.
So happy to hear that Key is healthy over all. I am hoping his liver readings will be okay. He is so adorable and such a good boy. I really adore Key. Maybe someday they can figure out how to help his wrist.
Keys concentration and patience is so good sitting through your explanation of his vets visit. Hope Key s liver issues are easily treated and he remains very well and happy. ❤
I use to love to pick the undercoat of my huskies and they loved it. Key looks like he's enjoying it too. He's so handsome. Happy puppers. Missing our friends Sherpa and Philly-bear.🫶🐾🐾🦋
Hey Jodie. My dog Champ was a Malamute/Husky mix and he weighed 55 kilos at his biggest weight. He tore his right posterior knee tendon, ACL in humans chasing a rabbit in our yard and had surgery at 9 years old. His liver enzymes was slightly elevated but it had to be fixed. He did great on a low fat diet, lost 6 kilos over 6 months and lived another 4 years. Quite old for a big dog.
It’s easy to forget Key is 10. He’s 70 in human terms. Sure, many 70 year old humans are sprightly souls these days, but if you’re 10 and you’re a dog or you’re 70 and you’re a human, you can expect a few physical niggles now and again.
I have a greyhound and a whippet and we always elevate their bowls. My greyhound has a bit of trouble reaching the floor because of her long legs and its better on their throats. I'm sure Key will find an elevated bowl very comfortable!🥰
My Storm has been fighting autoimmune anemia for 2 years. With the meds she takes, we have to not only check her blood cell count for the anemia, but also the liver enzymes. I have been giving her supplements with Milk Thistle. Milk Thistle is great for the liver. I had given it to my older dogs in the past because of possible age related liver counts. I now also use it on all my dogs.

And if you stop petting him momentarily, he looks up at you like "ALL your attention must be MINE! Did you forget?" LOL! He is so beautiful. Love you K'ey, glad your appt went well! Thanks for the explanation Jodie.
Thank you for giving us an update on Keyush and his tests. I love to watch all of the videos. I love those where he and your mom interact. I'm praying for Key to get well.🙏🙏💖
I appreciate your love and care of Key. I know there are so so many listening to your story. My family loves our sheltie Mac. Our dog really talks to us too. He keeps us all on a strict feeding / treat schedule. Good luck with everything. Hugs everyone from Kentucky USA
Thanks very much, Jodie, for the update on Key's health. I'm glad to hear that, overall, he's in pretty good health. As far as his liver enzymes go, I wouldn't worry too much, as they're onky slightly elevated and im sure the vet will make suggsstions to lower them back to normal range. I don't blame you for being sonewhat anxious, though. I think after the devastation of losing Sherpa this past summer, we're all even more protective of our hero, Key, now, as we all want to keep our furry friend aroubd for years to come!
I'm glad the appointment went as well as it could. Its so hard making a decision on behalf of your animal isn't it. Anyway thank you for updating us. Lots of love to Key, he is such a lovely boy. Take care xx
That could be a new project for you Jodi, making the harness yourself. Make it fit just right supporting Key's chest rather than putting pressure on his neck. Also the harness you got seems to have the handle at a weird angle. I would imagine having the handle 'sideways' would be better, between the shoulder blades rather than between the tail and head. Hope that makes sense. Im sure you can create something that's just perfect.
I love you ❤ key,I hope you get to feeling better😇🐺 you are so special .jodie, you are so blessed to have that sweet guy and he's blessed to have you and Nan.
Praying for everything to go well for you both. Also glad he didn't need something extensive. Lord willing, Key will bounce back and be stronger than ever :)
Alot of mixed emotions and therapy guides for you, Jodie. A joint injury can lead to various medical conditions and it's difficult to know what's happened or happening and expensive. Never realised how much a meal before a blood test can change the blood count so much. Hopefully, Key will be on the mend soon❤hugs all round❤❤
I don't know if it's the right thing to do or ask, but perhaps Jamie can offer some advice in regards to Key's liver, as Sherpa had liver problems also. As for not going along with the treatment, it was the right thing to do, especially if you're worried about Key's liver.
You made a very wise decision on behalf of Key. He such a flirt around lady vets! I am glad you are getting his liver checked again, hoping it is back to a lower level for him! He is such a loveable boy. He is also a very lucky boy to have you looking after him Jodie💖
Jodie, thanks for the explanation on stem cell vet appointment! I'm glad Key is doing well. It was so funny watching Key when you were explaining the appointment. 😆
Jodie, thank you for the details about Key’s vet visit. I know you’ll do your best to care for him. We can all tell how much you love him. Jamie did the liver test with Sherpa where Sherpa had to eat fatty food then go for blood work. I don’t think Key will like being on a diet and getting fewer biscuits. He might sneak into the food room and jump on the chair again to get his own treats. 😂 I’ll continue praying for that sweet fluffy boy. Hope everyone has a blessed week. Prayers for my Southern neighbors as we deal with the aftermath of the hurricane. Hugs from Tennessee USA. 🥰🐾
❤ Beautiful lord fluffy bum sending you love and belly rubs and prayers precious boy ❤. Hello Jodie and Nan wishing you a blessed Sunday and week ahead ❤
Time to homework foods to heal the liver or help the liver. A change in diet dramatically improved our old boys life. You both look great!!!! Bless you all.
So glad you've gotten some things to help Key. When I had tendinitis in my wrist, and then fell on that wrist and sprained it, my doctor described it as a piece of elastic that got over stretched. Broke some of the fibers that held it firm.
This is the only bad thing about big dogs, that age takes its toll on them more than littler dogs. But fancy pups always have something. It’s wise to wait and see how it goes with the tests. I shall pray he’ll be healed and get back to his running-and-rolling like normal very soon!!
I hope everything works out for him. I'm sorry that you have to be on a diet Key, they are really hard. It will help you though and that's the important thing!
Totally understandable. And thank goodness you had a good consult to advise you. I’m not so sure every vet would flag it. Blessings to you, Key and Nan❤❤️❤️
So sorry your treatment plans didn’t work out as you hoped, but I am glad that you got an early warning about Key’s liver while you can hopefully do something to improve his functions. Prayers for all three of you!

Hi Jodie and K’eyush, thank you for updating us with K’eyush stem cell treatment, Jodie when K’eyush was with you cuddling on lounge it made me smile, I feel you are making the right decisions regarding treatments , what you do from now on or what you feel is not in K’eyush’s best interests health wise, I very much enjoyed watching this video. Love Katherine xoxo
Sweetheart you made the right choice It would have been the same choice if I had to make it for my dog too. Maybe you might want to talk to Jamie he might have a suggestion for a harness for key. I know Shepha always wore a harness and I bet you they had to go through a whole bunch of them just to get him into one. Because from watching all of his videos for the longest time he was on a caller not a harness and Shepha didn't seem to be the biggest fan of harnesses. I💜your video he has been a big help with helping me get over the loss of mama dog my sweet pupper who passed away a few years ago. And you are wicked creative I just wish I had the money your stuff.💜🐾
Key is blessed to have you an Nan. I will pray that his enzymes are up because of what he ate. We all feel like Key is hours😊 so we want him healthy and happy! ❤❤
Love to Key and family. I found the vet visit information very interesting. At least they were honest about treatments. I will think of all of you. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
One of the things you can do to help both the liver enzymes because my dog had the same problem with his kidney and liver is he was not allowed to have any beef, no red meat and we never gave him pork anything fatty we gave him chicken and turkey and lamb. He could have that type of food so if you keep them off of red meats and liver, that really helped our dog so it might be good thing to try with key
We wish you the best k'eyush so sorry treatment won't help with your wrist 😢 . We love you and we know you still act like a young pup 😂 keep healthy handsome, beautiful boy ❤
I’m 85 and there is just so much I will let the doctors do to me….maybe Key feels the same😊❤❤❤❤❤❤ he has been my daily joy for many years.."

Your a great mother to key Jodie! I know you're doing what's best for him! He is indeed a healthy boy. 👍
Yes an ultrasound sounds like a good idea, making sure no tumors!!!!! 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
Big love ❤❤ ❤to you all xx
Aww such brave boy key. Be better soon
