Sis Lee, here I am sitting and judging brother Skeete and came across your question. Before I quote the Bible, I will say thins. There is a huge confusion with two words used in the Bible that actually don't mean exactly the same thing, they may look alike but they are not. Judging is the first word, and the other is condemning. When studying the Bible sometimes you will see the word judging, when the original language actually was saying condemning. A good student of the Bible always will come across that reality and apply it properly not one when studying, but when in conversation with other and always be ready to give an explanation to it application. Now judging is something that everyone does regularly with our minds as we travel the world with our eyes, ears, nose, hands, and mouth. We always make judgements are people, animals, objects etc... judgements on our observations of things around us. the Bible says that we must make judgments and those judgments must be based on truth, on clear evidence. That is what you will find today in most courts where a lawyer will present evidence and the defendant will do the same, the judge and the jury will also play a role in that too, and we must not forget all the spectators, who have listened to the court case and they also will agree or disagree depending on how the look at the evidence presented. So we in the same way, if the topic is one related to the bible, must make judgments as we go through the scriptures and look at the evidence that God has given us. If the topic is "Am I allowed to Judge someone", the answer would yes, but it must be based on the word of God, and if it is from the word of God, that means it is not you judging the person, it is God Himself judging the person through you. Here is a good place for you to look at for that topic. John 7:24 says "judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment." Now the question would then be, what is righteous judgement? Let's look at another verse. Proverbs 31:9 "Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy." Hmmm Judge righteously comes again. Leviticus 19:15 "Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour." Matthew 18: 15-17 "

You have examined the word of God and as you diligently study the word of God, God's Spirit helps you to discern truth and understand what truth is and when you talk to people, you basically show them how God showed you what truth is on whatever topic it might be. We are told to judge, but with truth.
Revelation 14:6-10 ; Revelation 18: 1-11; Rev. 18:23-24 , Jeremiah 51: 44-58 ( Rev. 3:16-18 ; 12:15-17). So how close are we to God’s return. Revelation 18:23 says that when the merchants and great men of the earth( kings) force their pharmaceuticals (sorceries )on us that it will lead to the Bible being preached no more (aka close of probation). (Also found in Amos 8:12) . Jeremiah 51:44-58 tells us that there will be a rumor in the land that will cause fear for one year and then another year (verse 46)It also says our faces will be covered (verse 51) . Any of this soundings familiar? What happens next look at Rev 18:24: they require the blood of the Saints, but that’s when God steps in : Revelation16:6 Isaiah 49:26.

I'm always finding something that should not be promoted, something that God told Ellen White was evil, and that is, sports competition. When brother Skeete mentioned sports and the way he said it when it come to prayer is something that he should have left out of the sermon. I always tell people that a glass of water with a drop of poison will eventually kill you if you keep swallowing that garbage. Even if you study the writing of Sis White, something you an still go a little further and see what the modern teachings are with regards to sports are, and where sports of any kind come from. Basketball is one of many example that can be taken and if you look and study carefully in detail it's origins and the person who created and the purpose and what is symbolizes, would then realize that this is from satan himself. Very clever way to seduce people to do something that seems innocent on the surface, but is evil when looking at it in detail. I question Bro. Skeete on issues like that, he may think himself very highly, but me, I'm into the detail and my flag goes up real high when someone purposely pushes something that should not be there. I question all preachers and teachers in the church that deviate from what is true and I don't think for a second that Jesus Himself would in any shape or form promote playing such sports like basketball when knowing full well where it comes from.

I agree with you about sports and EG White but playing basketball in a Christian way will not send anyone to hell. Don't get distracted by minor issues. Pastor Skeete is clearly a man of God and God uses us inspite of our shortcomings. He used David, Abraham and many others who were imperfect but willing to be used. Blessings
