So glad you posted this! I'm about to start my own D-7, and it's nice to see how someone else tackled things before diving in. Thanks again, and good luck with your build.
Hi Michael. That’s great hear. I’ve enjoyed this build more than any other. Be sure to check out the build thread over on RCScaleBuilder and be sure to start your own build thread.
I had one of these and sold it, regretting it now had a zenoah g62 in it and it was a delight to fly good luck with yours and happy flying, i guarantee it will become your favorite flier
I have one of these kits I am really looking forward to starting. I plan to make my top wing one piece as I have not seen one that looked good with those saggy rib joints. I also have a full complement of GTM losenge fabric, and the correct radiator hex material from Iflytailies (nothing worse than that screen door mesh grill). I will need a trailer to haul mine. Still trying to decide on scheme.
Paint it like my grandfather’s plane, Lt Hans Müller, Jasta 18! Great build!
Very nice job 👍👍👍

Thanks for your comment. I’m also going with a Zenoah g62… but with a reduction gear.

On the underside of sheathing what is that white glue? If I may ask. Also how are you using the spray adhesive?
Yes white glue. I think I used the spray adhesive to stick the sand paper to the pickle jar… to help sand the scallops.
