Interesting. Now if they offer a retirement visa for years, we retired people would love to know about things like the climate in Port Louis, whether it's oppressively humid, whether the city is difficult to walk around, infrastructure, whether it's a hilly city, and what kind of health insurance coverage retired people in Mauritius have. Do you have a video about these things?

Hi. Regarding the retirement permit, The Mauritius government website states it’s only a 3 year permit, and the annual requirement is 40,000 USD, not 18,000. Is their website out of date? Thanks.

You may have misunderstood. It's still $1500/month and 10 years.

They don’t offer dual citizenship though.

Hi, as a foreigner, retire with residency permit in Mauritius, can I buy property ( apartment or condo) for less then $ 375,000? I found information that I have to spend at least RM 6 mil which is ~ $150,000. Is this reliable information?

Thank you for last video. I just watched it. Everything is clear for me. It seems that renting an apartment is only one option for many retirees.

I think what puts people off Mauritius is that you cant become a citizen and they dont allow dual citizenship. They should offer a citizenship by investment program like other countries and allow dual citizenship.
