Interesting to see panda children raised together...4 of them.
In the wild they have no siblings. They are solitary as adults. In captivity their natural instincts are still there, but now there is the "new" or "adopted" instincts of living in a community, living a different lifestyle that is not known to their species intelligence.
And of course the relationship/friendship with the human carers. Also new, and most difficult to understand and amazing if understood. In the wild all the pandas know is the bamboo forest for food and shelter - essential for life. Then the mating ritual - only time when they forego solitary and engage for a short moment. Then the birth and caring of the baby panda - essential for its survival, and the only non-solitary time that the young panda will know. The home range of a giant panda is big, therefore unlikely it would engage with or even see another of the same species.
