Regarding NBC's final two seasons (1990-91, 1991-92) as a Saturday Morning contender, the reason why they decided to pack it up wasn't just because of FOX; *it was mainly because of the Great Network Writer's Strike of 1988, where NBC lost so many bids to stronger cartoons to its rivals.* 1989-90 season was where things begin to really fall apart. They not only lost Gummi Bears to ABC, they even lost bids for new upcoming shows to Fox like Howie Mandel's Bobby's World and Tom & Jerry Kids (The final Hanna Barbera cartoon to be produced by Worldvision/TAFT).

Pancakes & eggs...on Sunday mornings definitely. On Saturdays, it was every man, woman, & child for themselves. My mom would've looked at me like the rent was due if I asked her to cook on a Saturday---unless it was for some special function.

Ahh, this is when Saturdays felt like SATURDAYS! Bright colors, cool theme songs, clever commercial jingles, sugary cereal..what more could a kid ask for? I think those bumps were done by Klasky-Csupo, the same company that animated Rugrats. I know the music is by Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo fame. (who also did the music for Rugrats)

Regarding NBC's final two seasons (1990-91, 1991-92) as a Saturday Morning contender, the reason why they decided to pack it up wasn't just because of FOX; *it was mainly because of the Great Network Writer's Strike of 1988, where NBC lost so many bids to stronger cartoons to its rivals.*
1989-90 season was where things begin to really fall apart. They not only lost Gummi Bears to ABC, they even lost bids for new upcoming shows to Fox like Howie Mandel's Bobby's World and Tom & Jerry Kids (The final Hanna Barbera cartoon to be produced by Worldvision/TAFT).
