So if you don’t want to use Vertex AI but GKE, you are stuck with TPU nodes? Is there a way to deploy Kubernetes Pods to use TPU VMs?
At the time of recording, that was the case. However, TPU VMs are now the standard for TPUs-in-GKE cloud.google.com/kubernetes-engine/docs/concepts/tpus. I've found the new and improved experience to be quite good.
