I loved paint with water books. I used to make them for my kids when they were little by adding outlines to coloring pages with watercolor pencils.. they could then just use water to paint them without a lot of mess. Of course we can still do the same thing as grownups. They actually still make paint by water books, except now they are clear, you can't see the color until the water is applied, unlike the old one that had dots and lines of color visible. I gave one to a coworker last Christmas for a Secret Santa present. The other thing I loved that I can't find anymore were these books that you could pop out paper figures and buildings and such and fold/glue them to make a whole scene to display or play with. There was a farm, a zoo, old west, castle.. all different kinds. I just loved those things.
@@waymire01 yes!! I remember those! They were so much fun! I’ve not seen them in years. I had no idea they still made paint with water books… and yes absolutely we can still do that. What a great idea. I might add some watercolor pencil to a book next time the little ones come to visit. Definitely less mess! 😂 I’m so glad I’m not the only one that remembers those fondly. 🙏🏼🥰
Good tutorial as always, I am following along, I have tried using inktense but I found them hard to use on this paper. The neo colors work perfectly, thank you for showing ❤️
@@linseybuchanan6353 yes they really do work well with this paper. I just finished swatching a set of Inktense pencils too, so we will have some fun with those. They are kinda like charcoal pencils… it’s all about knowing where to put the color so you can blend it out… but I’ll make some videos to show you. I’m so glad you enjoyed this one. I’ll keep the NeoColors out… I definitely need to use them more often. They are so much fun. 🙏🏼🥰
@mialuyando look forward to learning more with you, I enjoy using different mediums, I love my neo colours, so really enjoyed using them ❤️
This looks great. I must say I love my neocolors. Another great tutorial, thanks 😊
@@lizaomara5657 thanks Liza! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Aren’t they fun? And they are so vibrant. I might get a bigger set… 😂🙏🏼🥰
Yep I have trying not to over spend, but I think the neocolor are winning 😂😂
@@lizaomara5657 😂 yes I just put them in my shopping cart this morning 🙈it’s not that I can’t mix the colors I have… it’s just that the other premade colors are sooooo pretty. 🤩 😂🤭🥰
I love your new book but Puddletown was the one that drew me in. You really taught me how to layer pencils, made it possible for me to achieve a really cool page. I love that puddle fairy. Now you are teaching g us how to correctly use neo poor
@@debrabrinkmann5408 Puddletown is one of my favorite books. I worked on it for a year 😂 I’m so glad you are getting more comfortable layering pencils. Coloring is so much more fun when you can get the effects you want to achieve. So glad you enjoyed the NeoColors. Aren’t they the most fun? We will be using them more frequently and learning lots of different blending techniques with them. 🙏🏼🥰
