Nice solve! I was half expecting GRACE to light up the exact same way again, and then it turned out the answer was GRAZE.
I got stuck in the same trap: argon, grape, graze, grade, grace.
Quite similar for me: ROOFS - BRAVE - CRAZE - GRACE.
