It depends on how close it is to plastic deformation. Could be 20 minutes, could be 20 centuries. There is a level of stress below which any material can handle an infinite number of loading cycles.
Wow 😮 what a wonderful sound. Subscribed and well just wow, never in a million years did I expect the sound emanating from a 3D printed object 😁🏴👍
It was printed with a resin printer, not your typical fdm printer, the tolerances are a lot more accurate and the print detail is so fine you cant see the layer lines
So easy to agree with everyone else, this is an exceptional piece of work and craftsmanship, very, very well done. Thank you for sharing it and yes, I’ll definitely be contacting you regarding the files. Exceptional work, thank you 10x👍🏻😎
...and just when I think there are no more parts which will fit on top of the parts, more parts are added. Then it makes a huge screeching noise like a harpy and starts counting down. It does not explode because modern bombs don't tick. Seriously though, this is one hell of a 3D print. Well done.
So what your saying is that if you can get this small enough to fit my wrist on a rubber strap with silicone clasps, that I would never have to take it off in customs? SOLD
Forever is a very long time. You should lower your expectations from 3d printed plastic parts. Not even black holes spin forever as they slowly evaporate due to Hawking radiation. But that may be too much info that you didn't ask for... well you got it :)
No way this actually works. I would never think that plastic could be elastic enough to support this kind of mechanism. Amazing. I feel just how I would feel if someone 3d printed a coffee pot and made coffee in it.
This sound! Somewhere between wood and metal.
That's plastic. The word you're searching for is plastic.
@Guybrush Threepwood this seems to be a resin printed using SLA, not PLA.

The only downfall is that the rest of the clock assembly is going to cover the entire table.
This model only explains the tourbillon mechanism and will not indicate the time. Maybe a future model

No, there is a power reserve

I have no idea what it does other than spin around and make ticking noises.
Would you make a clock out of that mechanism?
