I doubt it would be impossible for Ryanair to comply with a 1+1 rule, they wouldn't struggle with charging every passenger for a carry on bag you can bet on that! I think it's a great idea to standardise it, but along with that they need to standardise the approach to enforcement, some of the "carry on" you see particularly around certain demographics is wild. As for the scanners, that was always going to be a bit of a mess so long as there were no hard deadlines creating an urgency, after all, that'd be spending money without a gun to their head to do so. Disagree with you on the conclusion about standardizing carry on baggage... Anyone that flew on something like a 737-200 will know you couldn't swing a cat in one of those and pretty much every airline back then had a much more generous checked baggage and carry-on rulings, thus people flew with much more baggage. The bottom line is checked baggage is a good additional income stream for the airlines and there is nothing stopping airlines checking at the gate if the flight is full..indeed that is pretty much standard practice for Lufthansa, try to get you to pay for checked baggage and then have you check at the gate if you don't pay the fee, I haven't flown with them since Covid when they didn't do that.
The most annoying people in airports and on planes are people with carry on baggage. Especially on airlines where hold luggage is included with no extra charge.

One Summer, one of our buses went from Paris to the Lebanon and back. But we then found ouselves co-operating with Magic Bus. They went from London to New Delhi. I went on a return journey from Paris to Athens on two of their buses that were continuing on or coming back. I have also been told on good authority that at one time there was a bus stop, I think it was in the centre of Birmingham, which simply said : Birmingham - Delhi.
Both issues I suspect are "lax" because of the likelihood of it being delayed through the courts if it was the case that on January 1st 2025 ALL airports had to have the scanners and ALL airlines had to have a 1+1 policy in place.
We definitely need some airline re-regulation
Passengers are held as hostages.
There's a (admittedly niche) downside to the new CT scanners. They will pretty much ruin *any* undeveloped photographic film.
Good job no one in the 21t Century uses film these days
@@markylonApart from, you know, actual photographers..
@@LordSenile most do not use film these days. Only hobbyists
A question here (haven't seen the video yet). Im traveling to europe in december, but bought my tickets in july. This modifications can be applied to me? I have only 1 Ryan Air ticket, all the travel will be done by train
They have not been implemented yet so NO CHANGE.
@@markylonThanks. Last night I finally had time to watch it.
Woud it be possible to not to do the "highlighter" sound for future videos? That sound is like nails on the chalkboard for people with misophonia.
Never fly Ryanair! Biggest crooks in the skies!!!
The most annoying people in airports and on planes are people with carry on baggage. Especially on airlines where hold luggage is included with no extra charge.
If airlines could guarantee they wouldn’t lose luggage or damage it, then sure. Unless that can happen, tough shit princess.
@kevinjames8050 you have a very small carry on bad contianing basics for a day or so. If going on holiday I have a 2 t-shirts, pair of shorts, and flip flops. Most lost bags are returned to you within 2 days. If your bag is permanently lost, buy a lottery ticket because the person who beats the odds
Not interested in the potential inconvenience of even a temporarily misplaced bag, especially on vacation. Regardless, absolutely not interested in letting my bag get dropped-kicked around the tarmac- that’s why I only pack carry-on even though I get checked bags for free.
