But when a terrible tiger,
coming to him, sees,
he storms and threatens him,

der durch sein heimatliches Revier schweift,
gerät nicht in Zorn,
wenn er auf ein Lämmchen trifft.
Aber wenn er einen schrecklichen Tiger
auf sich zukommen sieht,

weil er nur diesen seines Zornes
für würdig erachtet.
