    The Heart Sutra
Thus have I heard. At one time the Blessed One was dwelling at Vulture Peak Mountain, together with a great gathering of monks, nuns, and bodhisattvas. At that time the Blessed One entered into the Samadhi on the enumeration of phenomena called “Appearance of the Profound.”
At the same time the noble Avalokiteshvara, the Great Being, was engaging in the practice of the profound Perfection of Wisdom and clearly saw the 5 skandhas to be empty of any essential nature.
Then, by the inspiration of the Buddha, venerable Shariputra said to noble Avalokiteshvara,
“Wishing to practice the profound Perfection of Wisdom, how should a son or daughter of good lineage train?”
The noble Avalokiteshvara replied to venerable Shariputra “O Shariputra, a son or daughter of good lineage, who wishes to practice the profound Perfection of Wisdom should discern in this way: view the 5 skandhas to be empty of essential nature. Appearance is emptiness and emptiness is appearance. Appearance is not other than emptiness, emptiness is not other than appearance. Whatever is appearance, that is emptiness. Whatever is emptiness, that is appearance. In the same way feeling, recognition, karmic formations, and consciousness are emptiness.
Here, O Shariputra, all dharmas are marked with emptiness. They have no characteristics. There is no arising and no cessation. There is no purity and no impurity. There is no increase and no decrease.
Therefore, Shariputra, in emptiness there is no appearance, no feeling, no perception, no karmic formation, no consciousness; no eye, no ear, no nose, no tongue, no body, no mind; no appearance, no sound, no smell, no taste, no touch, no phenomena. There is no eye element up to no mind element, and so on, up to no mind-consciousness element.
There is no ignorance and no extinction of ignorance up to no aging and death and no extinction of aging and death. There is no suffering, no cause of suffering, no cessation of suffering and no path. No wisdom, no attainment, and no non-attainment.
Therefore, Shariputra, because the Bodhisattvas have no attainment, they rely on the Perfection of Wisdom. Since there is no obscuration of mind, there is no fear.
They transcend all error and attain complete Nirvana, passing beyond the bounds of sorrow.
All the Buddhas of the three times, by means of Perfect Wisdom, have fully awakened to the utmost true and complete Enlightenment.
Therefore the mantra of the Perfection of Wisdom is the great mantra, the mantra of great knowledge, the unsurpassed mantra, the mantra equal to the unequaled, the mantra that thoroughly pacifies all suffering. It is true because it is not false. The mantra of the Perfection of Wisdom is said in this way:
Om Gate Gate Paragate Parasamgate Bodhi Svaha
(Om, Gone, Gone, Gone Beyond, Gone Totally Beyond, Awakening, So Be It)
Then the Blessed One arose from that Samadhi and commended noble Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva, the Great Being: “Well done O son of good lineage, thus it is. One should practice the profound Perfection of Wisdom just as you have taught and all the Tathagatas will rejoice.
After the Blessed One thus spoke, venerable Shariputra, noble Avalokiteshvara, and the world with its gods, humans, asuras, and gandharvas rejoiced and praised the words of the Blessed One.

This is a wonderfully clear and helpful explanation. Thank you for sharing this 🙏
Your description, towards the end of the talk, of the meaning behind “Gate gate para gate para sam gate bodhi swaha” was an opening moment. Thank you again.

❤🙏 Thank you for explaining emptiness.
So many pounce on that ONE word to say "the Buddha doesn't believe in God and says everything is empty "of God".
He wasn't even addressing God in the word.
Its our western translation that uses the word emptiness.

One thing I would mention not regarding only this lecture is to alter teaching that it is much more possible for us all to gain insight and that is not so incredible far away and achieveble only by amazing talents. Bring it down to the earth to the real life not creating legends and how far is all to gain....

Seems great. I still disagree about around 23:00 whilst we are all interconnected and earlier all affect all, meant we are One. We cannot have small one or even big one. Just interconnection and total emptiness. Not really become the One. Danger to have that one and that One idea.

"Emptiness is not explicable in words!" - And then he proceeds to explain emptiness, IN WORDS! I assume he should have said the experience of emptiness is not fully describable in words. Actually, the most precise intellectual understanding of emptiness is to be gained from Madhyamaka Buddhism (I am pretty sure Tsongkhapa said an intellectual understanding was useful). If you read Madhyamaka discussions of the term 'emptiness' (sunyata) you will find that it refers to the formulation - NOT-EXISTENT, NOT-NON-EXISTENT, NOT-BOTH(EXISTENT & NON-EXISTENT), NOT(NEITHER(EXISTENT NOR NON-EXISTENT)).
As the Madhyamika Bhavaviveka indicated the character of reality is:
Neither existent, nor nonexistent, both existent and nonexistent, nor neither. …true reality …is free from …is free from these four possibilities.
This is not a concoction put together in a moment of mystical intoxication. It is the precise description of the ultimate nature of reality, in fact it is also a precise description of the existential configuration of a quantum field. As the quantum physicist Giancarlo Ghiradhi points out the state of a quantum superposition is (using a chair as a convenient classical level example) -
How can it be understood that, attached to these potentialities, is a nonepistemic probability that in a subsequent measurement of position the chair will be found here or there (which is equivalent to asserting that, before the measurement was carried out, the chair could be neither here nor there, nor in both places, nor in neither place)?
You can find this formulation a few places in quantum discussions, and mathematical analysis shows it is correct. A quantum field has this existential configuration of the four extremes. - quantumbuddhism.org

I think he means as you take apart a car you realise there is no car in it. No car-ness.
So a human is more a process, it is not a thing.
    So there are no objects.
    Only relationships, processes, reflection.
    Those words describe consciousness.
All you see is the processes, the reflection of consciousness
All you are is consciousness 😅
    Now act accordingly.
Just kidding. See if it is true for you. To understand is cool. To embody it is the test of time.
When i fail to be loving, it brings me compassion for all that tried.
    For all beings.
For all that is in the state of being.❤
    I recognize myself in others.
    That is love.
Forgiveness peace joy contentment , all rises fom love.
    Love is what you are.
    Love is what you seek.
    "Know thy self" Delphi
    "I know nothing " Socrates
"Nothing pases with ease through the eye of a needle" Jesus
Science: the objective objectfication of objects is trying to find a "thing"😅
The more it fails, the more it succeed, since there is no-thing . But it can't understand that. 😅😢

True wisdom knows the most powerful deity is male.
    Because.
    In him lies the seed.
The female is the field. The soil to bear the seed.
Which is why the female is bigger. Plumper. Able to be fed off of and yet maintain her breadth.
The male is stronger in some respects. The female is stronger in other respects. But the true strength of the female is in demonstrating her ability to respect her place as mate, not leader. For by being the mate, she becomes the leader. By becoming last, one becomes first. The most powerful, perfect leader leads without being known as the leader.
This whole ideology is based in fallible incarnation.
True wisdom transcends these ideas. Its like a match flame compared to an atom bomb.
    Cheers.
