I like how his voice has changed, it now has a rich husky quality. Also Boy George has always been a snappy dresser, i would love to go shopping with him.
As singers age, so do their vocal chords. Nobody sounds the same 30 or 40 years later. There may be exceptions, but he was a young man when he originally did this. The same can be said for many other acts. For someone who used and abused themselves to the absolute brink of death and to now be standing onstage able to entertain at all is an amazing tribute to his resilience. He had luck on his side. There is no reason for him to be alive today, but he made it. His life should be celebrated, regardless of his sexual preference, mistakes from his past, or people's nosy opinions. I think this performance is his melodic middle finger to everyone that has something negative to say.
+Ontheroxxwithsalt I disagree it depends on how well the Singer practices and stay's healthy. I seen PRINCE sing LIVE less than a foot away from Me and he sounds better than the record. Superb, Perfection! Now in Georges case its more drugs and alcohol. If he would have kept clean and Practice he could get it back. He now sounds like a X smoker. :-( :-(

Do you know how many people can even survive a HEROIN addiction? We have a graveyard of dead rock & pop stars who were never able to escape that drug! He sounds good enough for me!

I mean obviously he sounds nothing like he did back in 1983 but I really still like his voice & I think he's aged well. :) Yes his voice has changed, but so did Paul McCartney's. The key is to learn how to keep singing as your voice ages & adapt your old songs to your new style. I think Boy George has succeeded.
I thought this was a brilliant performance! The intro was awesome and I love the alternate take they did on this classic: the "reggae vibe" was very cool. I was feeling this. That crowd was obviously enjoying themselves - and at the end of the day, it's all that matters.
I must say that I admire boy George a lot for the strength and courage to do what he loves and that is make music for us to enjoy we love you always peace love and blessings to you my brother

i can't believe i missed this! years ago! he is so great. the entire band! i can only imagine what this gang endured during their popularity - not really "overnight success" but the toll it had to take on them - physically & mentally. and BG's voice has changed. love the tune and how he's re-mixed his hits. plus, remember, he had a vocal cord polyp that caused him to cancel his USA tour just weeks before he was to arrive.

Epic come around full circle phenomena for me & Boy George & Band. The beige buildings you see to the right of the stage used to be the rear entrance to The Famous New Wave Seven Seas Club, back in 1983 when this Boy George song first came out! I was there, Baby! And the DJ would probably follow this "BG" tune with some soul groove swag from ABC next.
