Any time I feel despressed or when my intrusive thoughts start coming back I always go back to this song. Reminds me that I’m not alone and that I can get through whatever is going on. If Eminem can fight this serious drug addiction and come out victorious I can get through my struggles
I think its very admirable of him to make this song. He helped me when this first came out off of opiate addiction and now years later ive seen myself in an alcohol addiction and im coming back to this song. Thank you Eminem for being so real and reminding everyone of the strength we do have.
Eminem is a warrior. People who have never had mental health struggles, addiction, or even physical health problems can never imagine how that s*** breaks you down. This song makes me cry every time I hear it looking back at how I used to struggle. And I WAS afraid, as hell. I'm not anymore though. Cheers to Eminem, all of you who've ever fought a battle, and everyone else who has made it through to the other side
I am lost, my family is broken, I have trust issues with relationships, all the struggles are real and that's the 19 years of my life, I will face the truth, I won't run away now.
This is literally therapy. There's not another way to say it. Not just for addiction, for everything. I've been going through a lot, but listening to this song always makes me feel better for a couple minutes
I'm a recovering addict and this song helped me more than anyone knows, I'm 8yrs clean and I give all the Glory to My God, one day at a time. Much love and appreciation from Kentucky ❤️🙏❤️
I knew someone who was diagnosed with lung cancer who had just bought the album this came off of. He beat lung cancer, got married and had a beautiful daughter since then...great song!❤🎉😊
Im battling that now , one lung has been gone awhile . I don't go back theres nothing they can do ..doing the best i can with what i got left ..never giveing up ..
One of my favorite songs ever made. This is the type of music that saves people, that gives them a light in the darkness. I know, cause it's done that for me. This song is saying there's a way out, all it takes is the willingness to improve and believing in yourself, which I know when you're in a dark place, it can be hard to see that, which is why this song as well as music in general is so amazing, it can instill in you that motivation/inspiration when you can't give yourself that.
My dad was a huge fan of Eminem. He listened to all of his songs and would play him for me and my brother. I used to hate Eminem, I'm not even sure why but recently I've started listening to his music again and this song makes me think of my dad. He was by no means a perfect dad, he did struggle with an opioid addiction when I was young but he quit once he realized how it affected our family. Like Stitch said about his family "It's little and broken but still good, yeah still good," my dad gave me so many good memories that I'll get to share with my future kids. They'll never get to meet him but I'll make sure they know him.
I remember hearing this song a lot as a kid growing up in the 2010s,and I loved it. By revisting this song again, all I wanna say is..I still love it,maybe even more.
He has a lot of haters for jokes he makes on songs but he takes his music and his fans seriously. He is the refuge for the broken, damaged, and suffering people. He just gets what a traumatic life is and puts it beautifully into his songs. I am incredibly grateful that he can explain the way so many of us feel. I will support him forever because of what his genius can do for my mental health. Not feeling alone in the world is priceless.
I failed everything i do in my life 😭 But this song just wake me up As long as god still give me a chance to live another day I'll always keep back up ❤
This guy is just explaining how to come out of the drug addicts incredible lyrics I HV never seen a better rappers than him till date absolute legend in lyrics writing
This is a really underrated song. It speaks to me on so many levels. I came from a long line of drug addicts and Alchoholics on my mom's side. I decided as a child, not me and not my family. I saw the pain and I saw how it ripped people apart, it destroyed lives. I loved these people because they were my family, and many died long before their time. My mother still struggles and so does my uncle to this day. I pray for them everyday. My encouragement to any of you reading this, no matter what you come from, or who you are, no matter your background you can overcome if you choose to. I know it's hard but rise above your circumstances and situations, keep pushing through, keep working hard, because you are worth it and your future is better than your present or past. I believe in you. I know you can do it and if you didn't have any role models to follow in your life, choose to be your own role model and be the person you want to become. You can do it. I know you can.
Thanks for the lyrics. I never was a rap listener. I like this song cause it has power to compelled us all to fight our demons what ever they are. The goal is to be a good human under our higher power whatever that means for you! I’m calling him to give me the courage to fight to find my indomitable spirit!!! The shit that’s coming down the pike , we gonna need it!! Thanks Eminem!!!
I'm strong enough to go to the club Or the corner pub And lift the whole liquor counter up 'Cause I'm raising the bar I'd shoot for the moon But I'm too busy gazing at stars Eminem's lyricism and word play are UNMATCHED🥶
516 days, in a row, sober. Alcohol has only ever held me back from achieving great things. It's time to quit holding myself back and go achieve my greatest potential. 💯
This song is for everyone who is going through the battles of the mind the ones we can't share with others, the ones we choose not to, if anyone reading this is going through that, brother/sister you're not alone, we will win, see you on the other side, a winner.
Goddam what a song i never really paid attention to the lyrics now i can actually listen to it without being distracted for how mainstream it is this is fucking crazy
Currently struggling with opioid addiction. Eminem is the only artist who I feel hits my soul and understands. His songs make me feel that I will beat it. This addiction will not beat me!!
"And I just can't keep living this way. So starting today, I'm breaking out of this cage" This isn't my favourite Eminem song of all, but this little part is probably my favourite Eminem moment ever. You really get the feeling that he is shifting the weight off of his shoulders he must have been carrying for a good few years by this point in his life and rising up to greatness again. Is it the most impressive line ever from a technical standpoint? No, but boy does it have spirit dripping from it.
Going through a divorce and going from seeing my daughter 24/7 to 4 days a week. It sucks , it fucking hurts, and I miss her every single second. The line about handling my responsibilities as a father made me burst into tears, not of pain but of peace, knowing I’m not alone in this fight. This song touched me so deeply.
Same here bro. Missing my kid everyday, it sucks. It really sucks but we have to be strong for them and try to be happy on our own now. I hope things will get better as time passes by.
