Of course, the scene with Benigna reminiscing about the love letter she got by accident instead of Luisita and Benigna passionately is fighting to convince Amelia that she belongs with Luisita... brings tears to my eyes. I am a big Benigna fan.
@@natwil735 You know, the woman who plays Beninga (Anabel) has a girlfriend in real life, and they have a child together as well, so she's really living the life of Luimelia.😅 That may be the reason why she's so loved and adored in this series, and definitely one of the biggest Luimelia supporters 😀

I seriously thought from the New Year's clip of 1976 that this series was from back then not being aware this is a throw back to That 70s show but Spain style [which I finally knew it was Spain when Madrid was eventually mentioned in one of the clips]. But no, I had no idea the actress Anabel portraying Benigna has a female partner and a daughter. Her immediate family must be very proud of her. And who knows how long she herself probably had to live in the closet... so I can see why so much of her inner spirit has been *infused* in her character. I could totally ship Benigna with the following ladies: 1. Manuela (Luisita's mom) 2. Maria (Luisita's sister) 3. Amelia 4. Rocio (artist, daughter of police officer) Somehow, I couldn't see Luisita in a romantic relationship with Benigna. But fan fiction world out there especially AO3 is a rich world if you enjoy reading. My preference any day of the year is reading over video clips. To imagine, I am close to the age of the setting of the series when I remembered being 17 just yesterday reminiscing about the TV series Blossom who I had watched not too long before having her freak out about turning 17 because she wasn't looking forward to being an adult 🤣. Regardless of some thinking I am not even 18 when I was 40... and some thinking I am in my 20s inviting me to a 20s group when I am pushing 50... its a complement for sure... we need more Benigna who pushes loves regardless of the package the person is in. ❤️🥰❤️
