There's a reason why Indian food is eaten with rotis or naan- not only does it act as a spoon, but it also balances the spice with some mildness. Dont eat like this, folks.
@@beru7036 india is small country??..The population of India is more than yours and is the 7 largest in terms of area
I have been eating Ghost Peppers with my meal. This is fourth day in a row. I think one of the common mistake all hot food eaters commit is to start eating the food immediately after it comes to the table, when it is piping hot. The temperature heat enhances the pepper heat. Kinda like drinking cold water after chewing mint gum. Wait for it to cool down, add ice if you will.
Also, try to eat fat with the hot food. Ghee, Butter, bacon, cheese, fatty youghurt (indian style). Ghee is my personal favorite followed by bacon. And remember, just don't eat the hot food for the sake of eating it. Make sure there is flavor in it as well. What is the point of burning yourself, if you can't enjoy it.
Also we Indians don't eat only curry. We use naan and yogurt with curry which limit the heatness.
I love how the waiters keeps passing behind them, ya know to check if they had died yet
The stereotypical Indian music made the video even better 😂
Susheen Kanungo "stereotypical " why dont you just call it indian music racist
Waiter: lamb or chicken
Indians: I’ll have both
@@Anonymous-lw4nq Most are but they eat meat only once a week or even a month
When did the chainsmokers start working at buzzfeed
I liked this 2 years ago
I came back to see this video after it was in my recommended
Glad to say that my past self was a legend
A gas mask? WHAT THE....!
Inhaling the pepper's fumes is dangerous to the lungs, you could suffocate.
Did you ever try cooking peppers? The fumes really don't feel good to inhale!
Life Starter Pack the peppers when cooked can be inhaled a lot of pepper you can't even touch with bare skin. A few wings challenges you have to fill out wavers and wear gloves and stuff!
It looks extremely spicy, but for some reason my mouth was watering the whole friken time.
Someone please tell them that they have to eat it WITH the Naan
They already know that it's to be eaten with naan...they're trying to avoid getting too much curry in their mouth all at once!
I was shouting at the screen for them to roll the naan in the curry.Who in their right mind eats curry with spoon and fork and shoves naan after?????????
I eat it with a spoon and with rice. I usually drop the bread. But I love the heat. This curry tho... I think I will drop that! 😂🔥
You know you are Mexican/Asian if this makes your mouth water 😅😅
I SNATCHED JHOPESCHILL Yusss... I'm asian and i really want ro try it right now!✌✌
I like these New York Buzzfeed guys. I hope they continue to make videos
Lizard Ollie there was another recent video with the new york buzzfeed too
They're not new they're just from New York buzzfeed instead of Hollywood
Lizard Ollie I wish both of them were working for buzzfeed because they were both entertaining
Indians while eating this
Yep a normal monday
Mr. Boy I don't think any human is capable of taking on 2.2 million scovilles like it's nothing.
I know Indians are proud of their spice tolerance, but there's a reason the chef making this dish wears a gas mask.
Prefessional bob, we are good at taking it. They wear mask to protect themselves from gases released during cooking process. We eat food like this everyday man
Cities of India I seriously doubt that. Even the hottest chilli which can be found in India is only half as spicy as the Carolina Reaper.
After all do u think our Indian mothers or grandmothers wear masks or gloves while cooking
Idk who's hotter, the childhood best friend or the curry.
well, stephen curry IS a who... but unfortunately he is not a member of the band The Who...
buzzfeed is like that one friend that is annoying and no one wants to be around but sometimes can be cool
Why would you eat something when the chef needs to wear a GAS MASK to prep it?!?!
They're not here for a long time, they're here for a good time 😂
Foreigner's eat hajamola: damn its smells like ghost pepper
them: let's try the spiciest curry!
also them: *eats it wrong*
Alexandria Faber no wonder they couldn't eat it completely. They didn't touch the naan😩
Alexandria Faber I'm whiter than a sheet but even I was screaming "use the naan" and "mix the God damned rice in" gah
yee yee literally I don't feel there is a "right" way to eat a food, more a Traditional way lol
yee yee it's more because the rice and the naan would have reduced the heat, at least a little bit, and made it easier to eat
I’m just like “why aren’t y’all mixing the rice with it?” Like that would be my strategy is mix the rice and dump it in the bread and make a little roll to help with the spice.
LOl all the comments are funny but believe me
No Indian, Mexican or Korean is gonna eat that easily, they may be prepared for the heat (past expiriences coz you know....they deal with it on a regular basis) but there is no way you're going to a hang out after that
That's freaking 2.2M units!!!
Chaitanya Singh in my state ghost peppers are used as solo curry. Don’t bet that Bro.
Tip for people interested in eating hot and spicy but are not good at it: sprinkle it with sesame oil. The oil will gave a slightly different flavour, but it is way faster than milk or curd. They use it in many parts of Indian home cooking when the food is slightly more spicy for younger members of their family. And I have seen sesame oil being used in Korean cooking to balance the excess heat.
thats interesting perhaps i should try that upon eating thai food i mean i can tolerate the maximum of 5 chillis they put in their dish or salad but anything further than that i go crazy
That looks absolutely horrifically painful but that also looks taSTY as FuCC
It is a "post breakup / heart break" food.
Try it when your bf/gf has broken up with you.
You will stand back up and feel much better.
My mom used to tell me about this chilli eating challenge she and her classmates used to do when they were kids. The problem is, mom and her 6 siblings barely had anything to eat at home. But she still took on that challenge, with an empty stomach. She somehow survived that, but then she developed stomach ulcers in her 30s.
But you're supposed to have it with the naan(pita bread). Not take bites of naan and then a spoonful of curry
What In Bad Intonation. I'm white and I knew it. I was confused why they didn't mix it with the rice either.
"My ears are itchy... is that a thing?!" Why did this make me howl?😂😂
"How's your meal?"
"Oh it's delightful."
LOL
“ I have a feeling this is the last time we’re hanging out” LMAOOOOOOOO
"Rob and I will each have a, uh.. quart of milk."
*pulls out 2 half gallons of milk*
"If you start hallucinating, good for you."
Oh, my God...
Get some raita, rice and a bit of curry.
Would be delightful.
Maybe I side of mango pickle.
And of course a Mango lasi.
good thing they brought yogurt, a thing totally unavailable at indian resaurants
WHAT? You go to the wrong Indian restaurant then. I'm North Indian (most of these curries are North Indian or Western Indian) and I have yoghurt with all my main meals
the waiter was like....
freking normies
Curry is supposed to be eaten with the naan!
"if you start hallucinating..good for you " eeer whaat?now i want to change my diet now 😁😁
If I was curry I would be the mildest curry there is. I would probably be milk.
KamiltheCamel ok so I can't handle spicy foods (I'm a white stereotype irl) and my mom's old college roommate from Japan sent us multiple boxes of curry... so painful.
You can't make a religion out of this, but you can make a series out of this.
#friendstryrandomfoods
"If you start hallucinating, good for you" I am laughing on the floor right now

Oh man Keith NEEDS to try this!!
Zeemas i think his reply was sarcastic because thats keiths exact words to describe his tongue
Didn't the try guy try it already? I'm pretty sure they did in their video about asian food
I hate when people feel the need to say how well they will handle the spice when no one cares
Tim Jim I think the vast majority are really underestimating how how a carolina reaper is as well.
If it was any spicier it would be on the same Scoville level as pepper spray.
*If you start hallucinating....good for you*
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
if I start hallucinating from having consumed your hot curry, Sir, you are getting 7/5 stars.
You don't need to bring your milk and yogurt! They will have plenty of that lovely mango lassi for you :)
"Honestly, burning of food I experienced with the food going in matched by the burning of food going out
😂😂😂😂
When he slapped the table I lost it.😂😂😂🤣
Guys, if you are going to eat indian food, at-least know how to eat it. The curry is not supposed to be eaten on its own. You use the Naan or rice along with it. It softens the blow so you can actually taste the curry. Otherwise, might as well chug down a hot sauce.
Secondly, curry is supposed to complement the main food. Bread or rice being the main item. So if you eat with rice, you mix almost equal part or a little more curry, where curry remains complementary to rice.
Yeah! I mean this might be a hot curry, but the way it's eaten is completely wrong. Your mouth's gonna burn even if you eat a mild curry the wrong way. *insert facepalm here*
I know like I'm Korean, but usually East Asian curries are usually eaten with rice, so I'm used to eating like that
Well yeah, but to be fair, he would've gotten full not even halfway through if he ate it the right way
The most painful part of this is watching white people eat curry gravy on it's own. 🤦🏽♀️
Clare Redway how would they know how to eat it tho?? It's not their food lmao 😂
"Gravy" isn't wrong. Curry is just meat or vegetables prepared in a gravy with certain spices. At least, that's what an Indian chef told me.
"If you start hallucinating, good for you." 😂
That's how I feel everytime I eat vindaloo here in Sweden.
I'm a spice Lover... But looking at it's texture, this looks incredibly dangerous.... I would never try this out..
This curry is literally an abomination of nature. The Carolina reaper is a HYBRID, meaning that it doesn't naturally exist. Mankind created it just to be sick and twisted.
If you're a spice lover you should definitely try it! I'm a big spice lover too, once I ate whole jar of spicy Sambal from a friend of and everybody was looking at me like I was an alien. Can't wait to go to that place and try it out!!
It probably isn't very tasty at all. There's no ingredients on earth that could balance out such an outrageous heat.
Isn't it common knowledge? Habenero is the hottest Natural Pepper with 100.000 - 350.000 on the Scoville scale, everything above that, is man made manipulation of different sorts, also called "Hybrids"
I feel bad for Rob having to deal with Christian's daredevil adventures LMAO
LMFAOO you can see the pain and discomfort look at the way they’re standing 😂😂
You guys eat it wrong .. you should have eaten the Curry with that naan or with rice 🍚
I am sure the rice and naan won't help as much 😂 take it from someone who goes through 2-3 cans of soda over spicy food
It's Jowke Soda can be quite painful actually. The carbon can be to much. I have had to pour soda in a cup and wait to lessen the bubbles. Although I have to say that, for me everything that is painful. Has always been stronger for me. Born with pain modifier disease. Normal pain never existed.😑😐
It's gonna be hot regardless. That pepper is extemely hot, even for Indian tongues.
She meant the way of eating is wrong. It is supposed to be eaten with the naan or rice.
I agree. Rice and naan help to absorb the spices. It's the only way to eat curry.
I don't think buzzfeed knows there's a difference between hot and spicy
"If you start hallucinating...good for you" lmaoo
If you start hallucinating good for you😂😂😂
If you start hallucinating good for you is the best line in this video
"Are you hallucinating? Good for you." lmao. Yeah, lucky! lol
watching them just eat the plain curry makes me cringe omg!!! please dip the naan in it, don't do this to yourself!!!
I've taken lots of non-Indian friends to Indian restaurants. 95% of them have no idea how to properly eat the food.
They eat the rice, naan and curry all separately.
Jarlaxle Daerthe naan is the Indian equivalent of bread. U can't use both of those words together.
you have to eat the curry with the naan and the rice instead of eating it alone. thats even worse lol
Usually we eat spicy food with raita or just plain yogurt!
For all the NYC viewers, Brick Lane curry restaurants in the US are named after Brick Lane in London (In the east of the city where Jack the Ripper murdered his victims) The curries are mostly anglo-Indian, ie curries that were invented in the UK over the past century for Brit pallets, and you will not find most of what is on their menu's anywhere in India. Balti curries were invented in Birmingham UK, not in India. Ditto Tikka Massala and Madras/Korma's are totally different to what you would have in India. Fact, most "Indian" food is not actually Indian but is mostly Bengali & Pakistani in origin. Enjoy as most of us Brits love our curries and they are more popular than Fish & Chips etc.
East End of London, in the Borough of Tower Hamlets. It runs from Swanfield Street in Bethnal Green, to Shoreditch, then into Whitechapel. Love the place.
Take A Chill Pill but India wasn’t a thing till the British gave it the name India so yea
It's really funny to me all the people who are basically calling it white people spicy. The Carolina Reaper is legitimately insane. Not some pepper that people eat all the time.
James Clary-Wilson but they're supposed to eat with rice, not raw and then with rice, they need to learn basic Indian rules 😂 coming from a Nepali and Indian child 😊
priti jha with or without rice.. The regular red chilli that we Indians normally used is nothing compared to this chilli.
priti jha The only reason for eating it with rice would be to help with the heat. Though when you're dealing with something like a Carolina Reaper I doubt it'll help much.
Nobody eating this should care about the rules and customs of eating South Asian food. They aren't trying to get the authentic experience, they're trying to beat a challenge.
Carolina Reaper is not a naturally occurring chili but is a hybrid. A man made scientific experiment in botany. Only idiots do this.
As soon as he said the thing about 911 I would've had to rethink life😂
0:39, lol. The walk says it all. this guy has been waiting for this moment all his life, lol.
*Reads the title* : expects classical Indian intro music but low-key expects something else.
*Intro* : Okay.
am i the only one that remembers strictly dumplings finishing this dish on his channel ?
"If you start hallucinating, good for you".
Sounds pretty cool.
One day I'll have enough money to go to England and try that curry with my mates
Good curry makes your nose runny💃
*THIS IS MAKING ME SO HUNGRY!*
''if you start hallucinating, good for you'' 😂😂😂😂
Honestly. These two are the best. Makes me want try everything with MY best friend!
I love that dude"....if you start hallucinating... good for you"
2.2 million views for 2.2million Scovilles= I have been waiting for 2.2 years for this!!!! Go for it one more time, guys.
I accidentally grew Trinidad Maruga Scorpion peppers in my garden (it was labelled at the garden store just as 'hot pepper' ) and ate one. Ow.
Try an indian doing this I bet they will eat without hesitation
3 mins in and I’m already sweating. And this video is 8 MINS! Insane!
I ate Phall 2 times in my life, loved the taste, it's absolutely delicious, extremely hot, but very tasty. Needed 2 yoghurts and a bowl of ice cream to finish it off but I absolutely loved it. It was an incredible experience :D
"If you start hallucinating, then good for you. "XD - That's a way to go.
XD!
Love hearing him say that XD
lmao imagine tripping on sheer pain and spiciness
LOL
