I love finding bands like this on TH-cam - it's a shame that they never made it big even though they released a single that was so good. Not to mention that the guitar solo in this song is outrageous, I keep finding myself listening to it over and over again, such great stuff.
Darathi...thanks for the good comment...I did my best with the re-master but I don't even own the original copy on vinyl or digital. I think the original tape was lost or destroyed years ago! Cheers!!!
You really have shit instead of taste, if that's what you think. The solo is great. The moment of this song starting at 2:05 is pure perfection and nostalgia.
I remember seeing a feature in Kerrang about this band. If it's the band I'm thinking of, they later changed their name to Pretty Wicked. I saw them play about 40 years ago at Winsford Civic Hall (in Cheshire). It was a great night!!
KIller, killer stuff. You go back and listen to some of these NWOBHM bands and it is just such a shame that they never made it big. You lads in Wikkyd Vikker had the talent, the cool name and the striped pants! At least we have a few tracks from you guys. I'm sure some great bands never made it that far.
Hey Dwight....I check in here every now and again to see what's going on and it's always great to see comments like this. Thanks for listening and keeping it alive for a little longer. Cheers!!!
Memories of Hinckley Regent Club and Barwell Liberal Club... And Trevic Supplies on Goose Lane where I purchased my '45'.... which I still have today.. #80's
One of the best NWOBHM songs ever made. The riff is just out of this world. This remix is even better then the original, it almost makes me want to cry...Just superb.......666....13.
This is a great track thanks for putting it up. I listened to the regular mp3 one over and over again so it's awesome to hear a remastered one. I've heard three songs from the band and while this is the best one, the other two were good too. Too bad you guys didn't get the chance to make more music together.
Mud Puppy thanks for your comment. I'm still amazed that people are listening to our stuff after more than 30 years and I appreciate every comment good or bad. Cheers!
This is a terrific song. I live in the U.S. and was about 3 years old when this came out. Music reaches across space and time. Thanks for the great tunes!
Hey ObscureStuff thanks for listening and commenting....all these comments keep good memories alive for me and the other WV band members that I'm still in touch with. I had forgotten much of what we did back then so I really appreciate the reminder...Cheers!!!
My Uncle David did a bit of roadie work for these. Dick was a personal friend. its a great song. Credit to steve Fitton who produced it. It was worthy of being a bigger hit when you consider what shit hit the charts that year
Hey Gaz, great job remastering this masterpiece and we're really thankful of your music! Do you happen to have the lyrics? I saw you managed to find the lyrics of Stonehenge, that's the reason I'm asking for more... Thanks in advance and cheers!
Hey Hans. I only just noticed this. Thanks for your great comment. I think I have the lyrics somewhere as someone else previously requested them. I'll see what I can do.
Wikkyd Vikker - Black Of The Night You've been looking at me for an hour or so There's a feeling in the air that make my senses glow Out in the black, into the magic of the night My baby takes me, makes me feel alright, yes she does She's all a man needs to make him high And then she'll take you and you don't know why She'll break you down and make you cry In the black of the night There's a glint in her eye with a fox shy smile She'll love bait you, and leave you for a while Out in the black, into the magic of the night My baby takes me, makes me feel alright yes she does She's all a man needs to make him high And then she'll take you and you don't know why She'll take you down and make you cry Ooooh my baby, look into my mind All the things I need to see, all the things I need to find All my hopes and dreams, so far away All my hopes and dreams, they don't seem to be Yey yey yeah! You've been looking at me for an hour or so There's a feeling in the air that makes my scenses glow Out in the black, into the magic of the night My baby takes me, makes me feel alright yes she does She's all a man needs to make him high She'll break you down and make you cry Then she'll take you and you don't know why She's all a man needs to make him high She'll break you down and make you cry Then she'll take you and you don't know why Black of the night!

My buddy in highschool had this on a 7" EP. Crazy. I probably haven't heard it since 85.
A true gem right here. thanks for this, cheers! I’m 21 but I always envy people who got to live through the 80s.
Emily thanks for your good comment. Always nice to see people appreciating!

Got single of the week in Kerrang, beating Thin Lizzy and Rush, tho in the review they say the name of the band was changed to Pretty Wickyd.

I have this tune on an NWOBHM mixtape a friend gave me long ago, which he dubbed off a copy of the 7" he owns.
that's my uncle on the drums 😎😎

Amazing! I'd forgot all about Trevic Supplies lol!
Amazing Song. NWOBHM Rules!
Hey Vlassis, thanks for your great comment. All of our old band appreciate the feedback!
Genial, verdadero metal de los 80
Cool band photo - whoever took it. Great time capsule capture.

Hey Keith I obviously missed when you posted this message. Some nostalgia with my old band mates brought me here so thanks for the appreciation!
Incedrble song! Thank you for sharing it. Such a different music than the music that we have nowadays. Bad that tis band could't advance
Hey! Thanks so much for the good comment. Wikkyd Vikker will be re-issuing some old tracks this year with Sonicage Records.
Just bought a job lot of singles on Facebook and this was in here! Never heard of them. Worth a few quid!
This is a great solo and track.
Riff has a catchy ufo rock bottom
I love this song

@@keithgordon620 Again thanks Keith. Just finding some old comments. It's hard to keep up. Lets keep NWOBHM alive lol!

@@live4musiK777 A golden find.
👌🏽
Just a point of clarification, this is not a "remaster" you cannot remaster an mp3, remastering is making a new master from the original master tapes.
This not NWOBHM. Sounds like it though. US Metal band.
They are from Leicester
