    Brilliant shot and excellent technical breakdown. At "skilled" amateur levels we think a lot about using this kind of ball control to make a break out or knock in an opponent's blocking ball, but doing this for a pure leave this is really thinking outside the box. Thank you for this, but now one more reason to get back to the practice table...

Also, If you enjoy these, liking the video and leaving a comment does a ton to help grow the channel. It would be great if you could help me reach 10,000 subs by the end of 2019. If there is a shot that you would like to me to take a look at, leave a comment with a link to the match and a timestamp for the shot. i like watching earl play for his bridge hand grip and technique. i play with the same loop grip (i like to refer it as closed grip) all the time, which i feel is more rare for most players who chose open bridge. but height of your bridge hand plays a big part so ive adopted a bit higher bridge hand from watching earl.

    Great vid. Something I think you may have overlooked though is bridge length. The difference between your bridge length and his is substantial. Earl loves to spin his way in and out of otherwise tough spots. IMO one of the reasons he's able to command such power and spin on the cue ball is his bridge length. Granted they were playing on a 10 footer too.

    Loved this video. Do you take video suggestions? If so, I was thinking it would be cool to see you play a pool simulator game called 8 ball pool, by miniclip. It’s the biggest pool mobile app game in the world and it would be interesting to see if you can simulate the same physics on the cue ball and other shots. Just an idea, and you’ll probably draw in a different audience too since there are 8bp yt channels for this game. Best to you

      World of Pool and Billiards sorry one more thought, if you don’t want to bother downloading and finding a decent account to play with on 8bp, you could do your own version of this (Efren vs Video Game: th-cam.com/video/2Yo6qpsaqAM/w-d-xo.html). Then you can use videos from pro 8bp players like Rafeef, Lord Bahaa, etc and try to replicate their trickshots. Just an idea. Good luck!

      @@readynowforever3676 I really thought that the carbon fiber cues were just hype until I tried a couple out. They don't really hit better than a low deflection wood shaft. I would say the selling point on it for me was that it performed just as good as a high-end wooden shafts, but you don't have to worry so much about it. I can leave it in my case in a car during the summer and it wont warp. I can just get a wet paper towel and clean it off, and it flows through your hands a lot easier than a wooden shaft. I read somewhere that Earl gave someone the advice to never bank a ball that you can cut. I think that mindset played a role in his decision on this shot. I still feel that the bank was the better shot because you can play more precise position with no risk of scratching in the corner.

    • @TheJurgisRud
      @TheJurgisRud 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WorldofPoolandBilliards I guess it depends on what your strengths are. I've always been able to see the banks well for some reason, especially those off the side cushions, but not quite as well as I'd like with the up-and-down banks. So, for me, banking that one is definitely the higher percentage option to pocket the ball and get position.

    All I'm saying is this rack is a prime example of why Snooker is like Chess and Pool is like Checkers. After 4 positional shots on a small table with very few balls, Van Boening manages to completely fuck up a safety shot, to the point where he catches the wrong ball full in the face. These guys would be made to look like idiots on a Snooker table. Go watch some Judd Trump, he makes shots like this for fun on a much larger table with much smaller pockets.
