brilliance! For the showcase, Matt! Jim Aparo is one of the greats of the bronze age of comics. Every time I read any issue of this era with his art i find myself getting lost in each panel! I ended up lingering upon the immense detail, masterful layouts and magical line work. I'm not sure what happened in the 1990s if he had the wrong inker or possibly his eyesight began to fail because his work lost its magic and ended up very bland. I'm currently reading Phantom Stranger and Adventure Comics which contain his brillance!
Some of my earliest comic reading was Brave and the Bold and Batman books that he drew, I always liked his art, even though back then I never paid any attention to who did the art, I just liked to read the stories without thinking about that sort of thing too much. His covers are great, I have that Phantom Stranger run and the Spectre Adventure issues, that man could draw.
I think it is very cool when you give background information about creators. Alex Ross is one of my favorite artists, among others. The pulp science fiction writers would get a penny a word and had to write a great deal to make a living.
You got a great little vlog here for comic books fans. Keep plugging I think the channel will grow. I like the casual yet still very informative "vibe" of your channel.
Loved this video! Congrats on winning "Comic Collector of the Day"! 😁😁

Great to see 300 subscribers, awesome job
Thanks Matt good to learn about Jim Aparo
Jim Aparo was one of my favorite artists. His work on Aquaman in the 70's was my favorite version of the character. I also loved his Batman.
