Bed sizes are the biggest difference. Those doubles are small for two adults!

I think the fact one has double beds vs queens could make a big difference if you have 4 people in a room.

So excited! Travelling from Sydney to Florida for an 8 night Disney stay in August. I have always been a DW property only kind of person and so am so surprised that I have booked the Swan!! I think I'll miss a bit of the theming but really the price I got a massive King Alcove room for in this fantastic location was like 2k cheaper than a family suite at art of animation. With all the amenities and being able to walk to 2 parks! Fingers crossed I made the right choice.
Hey Jen, you really can't go wrong in my opinion with either hotel! They are so close to each other as well as right in the middle of the parks and Disney boardwalk. I really hope you have an amazing vacation!
For us the difference in bed size determined our choice - queen size is larger than double beds if you’re over 5’8” it makes a difference. Also, could you please tell us if you can ask for more coffee since they aren’t doing daily housekeeping due to COVId? If not, what kind of coffee makers are in the room so we can pack our own? Thanks so much!!
One new issue for both - I hear Disney downgraded the bus svc to Magic Kingdom. The buses go to the transport center instead of the actual entrance now.
This is true, but you can walk over to the other resorts and take the bus there over to MK
Once we stayed here we never can stay anywhere again. All star movies prices for WAY better amenities! I use my passholder discount.

Haven't been to the Dolphin but just came back from the Swan a week ago and highly recommend it. No issues and no drama. I got there early and they were able to get me in. Having Epcot within walking distance was a real treat and they were less expensive. the only thing to be wary of was that they do charge a $40 per day fee for "enhanced WIFI" and other perks that they list on the room key envelope and for six days that was a couple of hundred dollars that I wasn't prepared to spend. But otherwise, it was a beautiful hotel.

Even of you don’t stay at the Dolphin you can visit any of their restaurants!
I researched both hotels and the only reason I went for the swan was because I got queen beds instead of double beds.

Which hotel resort has a family suite for 6? Three beds ?
If budget is a priority, the Family Suites at Disney's All-Star Music Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort are affordable options for parties of up to 6 Guests. Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club, Boardwalk, contemporary, Grand Floridian, Wilderness all have a few suite options as well.

Also, not true they do not use Disney Transportation. They have their own. It’s awful.
