Those of you that are new to this instrument, I say Welcome To The Machine. You did such a great job of this song that I think you should Have A Cigar...
So many people complaining about the price of a little-known instrument that is made in small batches. If tons of people were buying them then they would be mass-produced at a much cheaper price. Still, these prices are nothing crazy for the instrument world. If you can't afford it then you can't afford it. That doesn't mean it's a bad price.
yup, exactly.... its like... i really like the sound of a church organ, but theyre SOOOOO overpriced for whats essentially a load of tubes and an air compressor attached to a keyboard.
It's similar to the cost of a custom shop guitar, and is marketed at the same crowd. The price makes sense, although someone will probably Epiphone them and eat their lunch eventually (patents or no).
I was just data mining and you, my friend are both the gold nugget find and my jewel of the day. Thanx for existing and sharing your awesome talent and this ultra-rare miraculous musical instrument...made my day
I love music like this. Music sounds amazing by people like you. I love hearing instruments from all over the world played with such skill like yourself! Keep up the great work!
Mathieu, Thank you for the great tunes and for putting them here on TH-cam for easy access! I appreciate your talent and each of these songs are enjoyable. My request as a fan is that you please play "With or Without You" by U2. Or perhaps if that song is too simplistic to merit a video, "Where the Streets Have No Name." If not, no worries, just keep doing what you love. Cheers!
I just got my first Harpejji! I hope to catch up to this level of playing soon. I started on bass guitar about 9 years ago. I needed something I could express myself better with. Any pointers on developing left/right hand Independence?
You're very good with your instrument. The tone from it would make great video game covers I think. It almost has a 16 bit sound slightly imo. Id request a cover from Zelda. Maybe the classic Legend of Zelda theme from NES or Zelda's Lullaby from N64. Anything from Undertale would also probably do well I believe.
I could potentially see me wanting to have the pickups active whether the string is depressed or not, sometimes... is it possible to switch it that way, as standard, or would that need to be a custom feature?
It is a big job to change and retune the strings, there are a number of adjustments that can take a whole day to set up at the factory, including tuning, intonation , and volume levels and muting for each of the 24 strings.but the makers think that the strings should last many years, they are slack tuned compared to guitar strings, so do not have the same problems, The strings are locked at both ends when it is tuned, similar to piano strings, so there is no reason for the tuning to change unless it is bashed about, and at between £2500 to over £7000 each, you are not likely to do that :) Look on TH-cam for LIVE "Marcodi in Action", the manufacturers have a video giving all of the details about the instruments.
@@loreskcanada8402 you could pretty easily make one tbh....just 16 guitar strings of various gauges attached to a board with fretting on it and a tensioning setup at one end a long pickup which is basically just a coil assembly. It wouldn't even need to be particularly well made since the audio itself is mostly created on preamp. would probably cost around $300 for parts and a week or two to assemble.
Angelus Nielson I agree.....I have several guitars that I have bought over the years that have cost between 3k to 5k. And thats considered mid range for quality.
james anderson that's pretty good for a new instrument. Most woodwind instruments bigger than a clarinet are about that or more new. Then there are the tubes and bari saxes and bassoons new for $10,000+
The price of a tuba is why I didn't keep playing after junior high. Just to damn expensive to own one. I said recently that I wished I had picked another brass instrument because most are not nearly as expensive as the tuba is.
Certainly the worst version of wish you where here. Everything is off ! Certain things meant to be played on original equipment and not some type of new age toy🚽🚽🚽🚮🚮🚮
youre just jealous you cant afford this new age toy. I wish people would stop pretending pink floyd is some religious experience that only very specific people should try in very specific circumstances. th-cam.com/video/NyGukH50Row/w-d-xo.html this is clearly FAR FAR worse.
I'll agree the sound is a little different, it is still a well done rendition. Do you go to karaoke and call the singers out, or do you cheer them on drunk as hell. ...I think we see which one you'd be. Smh
Quite possibly one of the greatest songs ever written.
Those of you that are new to this instrument, I say Welcome To The Machine.

Thank you :)

im a trombone player a recently got a professional horn and it was like $6000. good instruments arent cheap
it is expensive because it is not acoustic
Hauntingly beautiful.
Sounds like the original. Beautiful
THIS IS INCREDIBLE....so beautiful. This instrument found a way to make me smile and cry at the same time. I dont get it but holy shit.

Mathieu, you are just sick talented, bud... O.O
A song I'd like to hear played on this instrument is "Silk and Steel" by Savatage, off the album Gutter Ballet.
Makes Me Want To Learn Whatever This Instrument Is.

I have a question Mathieu : where's do you get those strings for your instrument ? are they normal strings guitar and bass guitar or what ?
yes, it's strings guitar and bass ;)
show this to David Gilmour
David will let him play some gig together.
He took some street performer with bottles to a concert in Italy
Vico Rocha Vidal @davidgilmour
He'd promptly try to do 5 semitone bends on it. :)
wow! love it!
Genius!
De un poco de todo xd
Sisi xdd
Oie zi XD
Maaal

amazinggg !
Awesome!
c'est un piano-guitare ? en tout cas c'est beau .
Tres unique !
Oui, Il est tres, tres beau!
Is the tuning much of a problem to maintain or is it factory-set for good?
looks pretty simple and probably keeps tuning like a decent guitar. use a digital tuner and tune all of the C notes to the C over the 4 octave range.
What sorcery is this?

We're just two lost souls swimming in a fishbowl..year after year.
Can u play canon rock by Jerry C
Subscribed.

wow
thank you !!!!!!!!!!!
Do Clapton
Mathieu please play layla by derik and the dominoes
classic
Nice :D
❤
🌟
$2,500 for the G16??? Really Marcodi, come on.
You can spend around 3x that much on a high end guitar you know.
Difference is, there is no high and low end to this instrument so you have to be rich to get in to it. I bet lots more people would buy a 500-750 one.

Try $3,600 which is the current price for the 16.
Angelus Nielson I agree.....I have several guitars that I have bought over the years that have cost between 3k to 5k. And thats considered mid range for quality.
Haa le metiste doble pisssta pillin!!!
Toooll
its a cool instement but for $4000... come on...
james anderson that's pretty good for a new instrument. Most woodwind instruments bigger than a clarinet are about that or more new. Then there are the tubes and bari saxes and bassoons new for $10,000+
Ya, the K24 is four grand and the G16 is $2,500. There are many talented people who can't afford that. Shame we won't get to hear what they can do.
The price of a tuba is why I didn't keep playing after junior high. Just to damn expensive to own one. I said recently that I wished I had picked another brass instrument because most are not nearly as expensive as the tuba is.
Don't forget about the amplifier. If you want a nice one you're paying quite a bit
Yeah it is a cool instement
+ !!!!!!!
I can feel nothing with this music
Oh the terror - the off kea and reverb oh maaaaan - so bad so bad. Please stop
