Finally got Roughrider deathless build wooo! Qotd: Honestly i feel mayhem mode is fine as it gives you the option to skip TVHM if you dont want to play it. My only gripe is modifiers and weapon fall-off for some of the weapon/artifacts. But 3's endgame is way better than 2/TPS so I'd like them to contine with that.
Okay, hear me out: the endgame setup for this playthrough could be the Night Flyer and the Binary Operator. Reduce the enemies' health to 1 HP with the former, and finish them off with the latter.
Watching this playthrough is kind of nostalgic. It feels like my very first playthrough of BL3, back in the day. All my gear sucked and I got stomped by everything.
I remember the Shrieking Devil build Moxsy did, good times. Also , K6, you’re playing the one character that can ignore the side effects of Embrace the Pain and Pain is Power with elemental life steal and spiritual driver builds but I guess Spiritual Driver is to good for this play through.
I think the Damned gets mistaken for a bad weapon when to be honest, it's mostly just unimpressive. It does adequate, unexceptional damage and has a present but not noticeable special effect. It's an okay gun in a universe where legendaries are for the most part nuclear peacocks or spectacular failures. It's easy to forget about it, and then if you do happen to use it it surprisingly can, slowly and without panache, do the job, but you'd just as soon have anything more exciting. QOTD: I think BL3 did a lot of things right with the endgame. Takedowns are a really good blueprint; they give you a hard boss fight but don't just reduce you to the loop of 'Load in, set up glitch, kill boss, repeat ad infinitum.' For something different, it might be interesting to have something like Digistruct Peak but much less linear (and no two [expletive] Saturns to remind you how bad some of the balancing and design decisions are.) Maybe have a large map in which a random path is opened every time, with enemy spawns, minibosses, and even bosses, being somewhat randomised (with the exception of a final boss, or maybe a cast of final bosses.) That way you would never know exactly what you're in for, you're still encouraged to actually interact with the game instead of just memorizing certain things to do at a certain time, and you could get a wide variety of loot depending on which bosses spawn in, but without it feeling like you're completely at the mercy of RNG, since if you want to actually farm bosses you can just do it, well, outside of Peak 2.0.
Now K6 you can experience what all the noobs felt against the Agonizer at launch. I remember hearing a lot of complaints about how hard the fight was lol.
QOTD: Feel like a Raid Boss rush would be great. Where you run through every raid boss in the Borderlands franchise in 1 event and have it set for time based rewards. Faster you kill em the better the rewards.
I got the hellfire on normal just by killing jabbar magwai with a fire weapon as soon as he walks on the platform (do not multiply him, I don't know why but I could never get it to drop when he's multiplied) then rinse and repeat until you get it to drop
Borderlands 4 should have a Endgame Legendary Hunt to collect all Legendary Gear. For example imagine you collected all Legendary Pistols from the BL4 Base Game and your reward is a Boss Killing Gun meant for Raids Boss as this implies to all of the Weapon/Gear Types.
ahh yes the 1 health and no shield strat, perfect for this playthrough. QOTD Id put endgame that you'd have to farm currency to unlock and would scale and advance loot as you cleared it with big payouts at the end, and TVHM would mean something, what? I dont know but actually something
Random thought: would you consider doing "color" and weapon playthroughs? E.g. "white pistols" only, "green shotguns" etc. Probably stick with same-colored shields and grenades, too. That way it's not as subjective as "this weapon sucks or not" (which I am enjoying btw), but it let's you try to max out a build with the best of the worst weapons you can find
I think I may have caught something about the minecart spitting you out before tannis' lab, could it be because you were holding a bladed weapon that moved you out of position to fall out of it?
In borderlands 4 they should have raid bosses and farmable seraph crystals and did you know that borderlands 2 pirate dlc Roscoe had children and they were the raid bosses
Imagine "hitting the wrong button" could happen in real life. You go shopping, buy some food, something to drink and maybe something else. You are about to pay and suddenly you throw a grenade at the cashier because you accidentally pressed the wrong button. Or you jump out of your car by accident.
True story: I was getting an oil change one time long ago and suddenly a car busts through the wall right in front of me. The employee didn’t know the car was equipped with a special pedal system for the disabled driver and he… pushed the wrong button
BL4 Endgame. 1) Continue with Trials. Trials were fun. Have "True Trials" Available from the start. Add a New Trial with each DLC. That Trial can drop the loot from that DLC. 2.) Have a raid available at launch. 3.) NO MAYHEM LEVELS. Or, I guess to be more precise, no mayhem modifiers. Mayhem Modifiers were the worst addition to Borderlands. 4.) Make sure that the endgame doesn't punish players for using the characters action skill in a way the dev team clearly intended. . They made it possible for players to play Iron Bear Only Moze, and then continuously added arbitrarily small passages that slowed the moze player down, significantly. 5.) Allow multiple load outs. This is too tedious in BL3. 6.) DO NOT shove all of the endgame content into a single room, where we load in, and exit to, from the endgame content. That was one of the biggest failings of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. 7.) ARMS RACE! Yeah, I said it. Bring Arms Race into BL4. 8.) More Slaughter Maps. Maybe.... "True Slaughter" difficulty?
The Breeder does NOT suck! The Echo aint that bad either. I tried em with Amara, and i had decent success with(in Mayhem 10!) Who's Hot Coral? I know who Hot CARL is! Lol As for the QOTD: Make it so that you can disable ALL repeat skins, heads, and weapon skins. Make it so that non-legendary and non-unique weapons NOW are viable for end game!
Had a bit of nostalgia in todays video, Amara was the first character I played and the Boring Gun was my first legendary I found, safe to say I found out very quickly the flaws the Boring gun had, especially with Phase Grasp haha
End game? Hmm well gameplay wise no freaking modifiers! And if they HAD TO have them in have the ability to toggle them on/off with slightly less rewards like mayhem 11 . Content wise , a takedown in the style of the maliwan takedown at launch AND. a traditional raid like hermivorus and hemovorous .

Most of the time, when he does runs with restrictions on them, he only does 1 at a time, just to keep it from being too much of a pain in the ass

at lvl 72 mh 11 with Zane's clone using double barrel the boring gun (fire) can actually do a bit of damage. to my surprise I had some fun with it.

Cube is always there in Nekrotafeyo. Shoot each side with a different element and one side with a non elemental weapon.
