As apart of a recent new 8BitStereo revamp, here is an updated/better version of the OST with improved quality, text and visual background: th-cam.com/video/Y5TjyD7zpx4/w-d-xo.html
RIP to Alan Young, the voice of Scrooge McDuck, who died yesterday (05/19/16) at 96 years young. I enjoyed your roles as Wilbur Post in "Mr. Ed", as James Filby in the original classic "The Time Machine" (one of my most favorite movies of all time), and of course as the life and soul of Uncle Scrooge. DuckTales was fantastic, as well as a lot of other Disney cartoons then and now (like Gravity Falls). You'll sorely be missed but we'll always remember the enduring legacy of work you left behind. I'll remember Filby's classic philosophical question at the end of "The Time Machine", after H.G. Wells went back to the future to rebuild Eloi society with Weena and Filby and the maid noticed that three books were missing from his bookcase: "Which three books would you have taken?"
My twin and I bought this around 1988/'89. Loved this game. The music really made it twice as fun to play. God, I miss the days of my youth in the 80s.
This was the first game I ever beat. My mom took me to Albertson's (they used to have a game rental kiosk) and this was the game I wanted to get because I loved the show. In fact, it was probably my intense love of the show that drove me to beat this game in the first place. So glad it's coming back. Not only are Capcom's classics still alive, but so are Scrooge, Launchpad, Huey, Dewey and Louie.
This was the first game I ever rented. Also the first game I ever beat. AND it's one of my favoritite TV shows of all time. Long story short, DuckTales is one of my favorite things. Just the best. Pure adventure is a rare thing in media these days.
Man......I was soooo depressed, hard time finding a job, & stumbled onto your channel/uploaded videos.....instantly not depressed. How time flies. When we are all kids, we just don't realize why are parents are stressed out, & sometimes they said no. i would play all day with my buddies, & after it was dark, we all huddled around the TV, & played NES, this exact game!!!! Also there was Squeeze-its & pizza involved! LOL!
you rock my brother! thanks for uploading music from many nes games that i grew up playing. it brings back beautiful memories from my childhood. thanks again!
you all know why your here, lets not pretend your not here to listen to what everyone is coming here to listen to. so click 6:43 and let those memories come in...
Well, I would say the reason why everyone brings up the moon theme, because the song is just purely triumphant. I mean it sounds like you won already. There is that victory feeling to it...I don't know how to describe it better. It's my favorite theme for sure, but I'm with you the rest of this soundtrack is amazing. It's by far one of the best soundtracks for Nintendo.
how explain my feelings right now? Just have my childhood coming back right in my face, with this soundtrack... Those songs are so amazing for 89!! I even can see scrooge bouncing on his cane right now! ^^ And the moon soundtrack!!! OMG, I remember, younger this song made me chilling, and it's still the case... Thank you so much man for uploading that stuff, and sorry for bad english, i'm a little french gamer!
Damn, I almost had a nostalgia tear In my eye. This Is my childhood In a box pretty much. I don´t want to sound all sentimental and shit. But I only have good memories from this game, and from that particular time In my life. No tax, girl, job, economy problems and so on. Just NES, good friends and a whole lot of fun! =) Thanks a million for uploading this man!
Yes, but I wish WayForward, an American developer, did not handle the remake of the game for Capcom. Capcom themselves in Japan should've developed and published the remake. Let's hope they do just that for the sequel.
With no doubt =) Around that time (at least In Sweden) the Ducktales show aired on tv each weekend as well. So It was double the happiness really xD Thanks bro =) Hehe, well. I still watch the Ducktales show every now and then, and Im going to play the NES game asap again ^_^ Cheers!
It's one of the best games on the NES for sure. Gameplay is great, graphics are good by nes standards and the soundtrack is one of the best on the system. Plus who didn't love duck tales as a kid????
Beau Walker Kinda like how the first iteration of the Sega Genesis console had “High Definition Graphics” silkscreened on it, lol. One thing’s for sure, though-many games of that era are still amazingly replayable to this day (this one included.)
Dam auto correct, makes me look like am 7 also! LOL! Great work man, keep them coming! You are like a saint bringing us all great, quality uploads! Cheers!
There are two NES songs that are above everything else... The first is the main theme to Goonies 2 (the Cyndi Lauper song), the other one is the moon theme in Duck Tales.
The guy who wrote the soundtrack to this is Hiroshige Tonomura. Yoshihiro Sakaguchi was the guy who programmed the sound to Mega Man 1, and he had nothing to do with this game. Just some stupid internet rumor.
It´s pretty much the same thing for me =) Hehe, high five on that! Yes, It sure makes one smile for a moment or two. It also makes me forget all about my problems and sorrows for a while. That´s also why I love the Ducktales game & Soundtrack =)
My perspective is people will always try harder the less they have to work with and there are a plethora of classic games that prove the point well... like Duck Tales. :D

❤
Everyone says the moon theme is amazing, and I think it is too, but also all of the other stages have pretty amazing music.
yeah like The Himalayas.
i like all but my fav's are the amazon, the tittle theme and the moon (obviously)
Capcom was at the top of its game.
Not only the moon theme is the best but the other tracks is good also
The Himalayas is on par with Moon IMO.

+JuantheLibrarian He didn't go to the moon. He's now a part of the stars.
Actually he was 96, not 86
Thanks for pointing the age error out. I thought I typed 96. He lived a very full life, something I hope to do as well. :D
Um Eugeniusz Robaczewski died before that, and he was Uncle Scrooge in our polish hearts
He's already 97 not 96 I know that on Google if who's Alan Young.

The intense reverb actually fits the moon theme really well
Awesome work, the moon theme was freakin fantastic!
6:43
Well what can I say, I do what I love for the people and myself! :)
***** Not WIIguy, Niceguy! ;)
+Gerad Deuvall most iconic 8 bit music to me
+Gerad Deuvall No you do not sir
I actually like the Amazon and Himalayas ones better.
One of the best NES games of all time. Nice to see it get its due after all these years.

8 bits forever
Every memory from my childhood is a good memory. But hearing this takes me back in time and it feels so good for a moment there.
you rock my brother! thanks for uploading music from many nes games that i grew up playing. it brings back beautiful memories from my childhood. thanks again!
So many goosebumps when the moon theme started
I love this game and his remastered edition *-*
Everyone always talks about the Moon theme but for me the whole ost is really good.
My childhood is in session...I loved DuckTales.
There's just something about the reverb here man
All NES music and classic 8-16bit music should have this effect in place
African Mines sounds great on stereo.
The Moon theme is my favorite 8 bit theme ever.
That moon theme was my summer in 4th grade...:-D
Tied is Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers Zone J
Definitely the most memorable and awesome 8 bit soundtracks of all time!!!
Incredible quality recording wow. Insane Nostalgia, I loved this game
I forgot how great is the Transylvania Theme. Thanks for reminding me in 2018! XD
Since the new DuckTales snuck the Moon Theme into the season 1 finale yesterday I bet you might see a spike in views.
That´s what my childhood sounds like.
Another rental from my mom back in Kinder. Thanx 4 da memories!
you all know why your here, lets not pretend your not here to listen to what everyone is coming here to listen to. so click 6:43 and let those memories come in...
African Mines theme is amazing!

I like the amazon music over the moon theme personally
how explain my feelings right now?
Just have my childhood coming back right in my face, with this soundtrack... Those songs are so amazing for 89!! I even can see scrooge bouncing on his cane right now! ^^

I love The Moon of course, but don't discount Transylvania or the Himalayas... hell, the *WHOLE* OST is freaking amazing.
My favorite stage was the moon, I cannot believe they did a digital remaster of it.
9:39 still haunts me to this day....and the moon song is the best ever lol.
The Moon Theme is so awesome, the entire soundtrack of Duck Tales stereoed up is EPIC! Thanks WiiGuy! :-D
6:43 BEST PART! Thanks WII GUY, You're the best!
Been playing the Remastered version of this! Pretty fun it is! The new voices and cartoon interaction make it more interesting. Swell game.
Yes, but I wish WayForward, an American developer, did not handle the remake of the game for Capcom. Capcom themselves in Japan should've developed and published the remake. Let's hope they do just that for the sequel.
Jeremy M That seems unlikely now, doesn't it?
the intro: this music .... so emotions come it's incredibly, ty man (nostalgie)
With no doubt =) Around that time (at least In Sweden) the Ducktales show aired on tv each weekend as well. So It was double the happiness really xD
Thanks bro =) Hehe, well. I still watch the Ducktales show every now and then, and Im going to play the NES game asap again ^_^ Cheers!
Recuerdo cuando era pequeño y mis primos jugaban patoaventuras , al escuchar el tema de la Luna me emocioaba mucho :'D !!!
6:43 Best Theme!!!!! :D
This game is just magical for some reason.
It's one of the best games on the NES for sure. Gameplay is great, graphics are good by nes standards and the soundtrack is one of the best on the system. Plus who didn't love duck tales as a kid????
The game box with "state of the art," and "high resolution" seems funny nowadays. Still this game has aged nicely.
Beau Walker Kinda like how the first iteration of the Sega Genesis console had “High Definition Graphics” silkscreened on it, lol. One thing’s for sure, though-many games of that era are still amazingly replayable to this day (this one included.)
This always makes me happy cause I think I'm about to hear a new CU Podcast episode...
I bet everyone came here for 06:43.
+Dr Ivo Robotnik I came here for 1:19, had it in my mind just now
yes
Especially now since the new DuckTales snuck that in to yesterday's season finale.
Damn right! You nailed it!!!
Haha a bout a year later i come here for this and see I liked this comment back then
My favotire song is this whole soundtrack!
Dam auto correct, makes me look like am 7 also! LOL! Great work man, keep them coming! You are like a saint bringing us all great, quality uploads! Cheers!
Oh wow, I didn't even know they had a trailer yet.:)
When you take the ducks out of the equation, do you know what you get?
CASTLEVANIA II, DONE RIGHT.
Implying there was something wrong with Castlevania 2?!
+wayne62682 Castlevania 2 suuuuucked, especially when you compare it to the first Castlevania !
Saving the world and saving 10 dollars never sounded so good!
6:43 we all know why you came... And goddamn... shit still gives me the goosbumbs.
How time flies, huh?

6:43 = Theme of our childhood
There are two NES songs that are above everything else... The first is the main theme to Goonies 2 (the Cyndi Lauper song), the other one is the moon theme in Duck Tales.
There's also a lot of Nintendo and (every?) Master System games where the music was a nonstop assault on your ears
This was sampled on a song called Purp Walk by Lunice
First NES game I ever finished. I was 5, but still. Great show, and an even better game.
You kinda missed the 80s then. 5 is nothing.
Moon theme = most awesome thing ever made after something else that I don't remember
The guy who wrote the soundtrack to this is Hiroshige Tonomura. Yoshihiro Sakaguchi was the guy who programmed the sound to Mega Man 1, and he had nothing to do with this game. Just some stupid internet rumor.
"It'll never leave, it'll never leave!"
Favorite quote from The Nostalgia Critic.
Como me encantaba jugar el juego del tio Donald x), algo difícil para mi edad en aquel entonces pero siempre lo intentaba pasar
entonces mis respeto para usted señor jejé X)

Haha yeah I know. she basically did all of Capcoms way back when music....
I remember when ever land select came up I would mute the TV so my parents wouldent get annoyed and I do not blame them.
Wow even more freaking great tracks.

Every day they're out there making them.
Really awesome !!!
Insane
The Moon- epicness!!
Yep, if you haven't seen it by now, do yourself a favor and check it out!
Just be prepared to start singing.
"STATE-OF-THE-ART" "HIGH RESOLUTION"!
It's funny to think that there was a time when both of those statements were actually TRUE
Did the game run at 480 instead of 240p or something?
@@flameshana9 Marketing bs 101 lol.
My perspective is people will always try harder the less they have to work with and there are a plethora of classic games that prove the point well... like Duck Tales. :D
Thank you!
DDAAAMMN! These tunes are out this world!
Off, I love this song : *'* )
The moon level sounds great on stereo ....but it's fantastic anyway you listen to it!
When moon theme started playing on the 2017 show, oh boy...
6:43 DAMN that is so fucking awesome!
