I'm 64 and have always loved tie dye, still a hippy at heart. I have never tie dyed and just ordered some dyes today, can't wait to start. I am learning so much from you, thanks. I needed a hobby and I hope this will be the one to keep me busy.

Ohhhhhh, it's beautiful! This is the one I've been waiting for, hearts are my signet. I've been clearing the sale racks of Rit for a few years, "how's that for patience"? So no ice fun for me yet, but now that I know how to fold a pattern, my mind is swimming with possibilities ♥
I really love that you explain this isn't an instant gratification thing. That it does take work sometimes and it takes time!!! Some people just don't understand that you cannot snap them out of shirt overnight with any kind of lasting quality....
Also, I'm going to need yall to do more tutorials!! They are so satisfying and yall get the best angles showing exactly how you do them!! I need a paw print tutorial!

WOW! I was wondering where the green was since there was no powder used! This is amazing! I do fabric ice dyeing for my Aida fabric for cross stitching. I may use the dye 1st then the ice when I get back to it!❤️

Great videos! I really want to give this a try! Do you wash and dry the new t-shirts before soaking in soda ash? Are the shirts 100% cotton or a cotton blend?

I love your work absolutely stunning, but it would be better if you had the camera up higher so we can have a bird's eye view of the actual folding and dyeing process...like when you were putting the ice on, also could you use crushed ice?

What fabric are you using? Can it be bought from Dharma?
Brigitte Swan they do sell fabric on their site along with a lot of other dyeable items.

Nice, but I don't think I get the idea of adding the dye first and the ice on top. It didn't seem like the colors split (but I didn't pay attention to if you were using pure colors or mixed colors). Since it doesn't split very much or anything at all, why ice and not just plain water (like sprayed with water or something)? And that much dye powder also seems like a waste of dye compared to using liquid dye.
How about you are wearing at the end part of video you have a tutorial of that?

Doesn’t this use WAY more dye than using liquid dyes? Seems wasteful. 🤷♀️
Woah woah woah now. Why are you not elevating the fabric on some sort of metal rack so it isn't sitting in the dye water... Your colors would come out cleaner if you did.
These are great technique lessons but it is hard for me to understand what he is saying because of the background music. Thanks for making them.
