Part 04 (and the last part) the alternate universe of Wilhelm, Henry, and Walter’s love triangle.
Wilhelm struggles to overcome the sadness because of one-sided break up from Henry. Although he always tried to stay within Henry’s line of sight, Wilhelm often received the silent treatment. Wilhelm knew that Henry-as part of Swedish nobility-could not openly shows resentment to him as the future king. But being hated is much better than ignored like this.
When Henry finally sent him an angry message, Wilhelm couldn't even defend himself. Out of blind jealousy, he once spread slander about Henry and Walter's affair to destroy their friendship. So, how could he convince Henry that the oppression was Vincent's own initiative without sounding like he was seeking self-justification?
In the midst of confusion, Wilhelm vented his anger at his mother, Queen Kristina, but ended up angrier than before.
Wilhelm begins to see rivalries in sports as personal attacks from both Henry and Walter. Not to mention, after their break up, Wilhelm was afraid that Henry and Walter would start dating officially.
Wilhelm spent most of his time being angry or crying or both at the same time until his eyes were so red he needed to wear glasses during outdoor class. That's when they got the news that Hillerska would close next year due to lack of funding from regular donors.
As the grandson of the headmistress Hillerska and knowing that the biggest benefactors were the royal family, Henry immediately saw this situation as direct pressure from Queen Kristina for him to settle matters with Wilhelm. When Henry confronts Wilhelm about it, Wilhelm seems as confused and frustrated as he is. But Henry was already so disappointed with Wilhelm's past actions that he didn't give him a chance to talk.
When Queen Kristina came to Hillerska to check on his condition, Wilhelm realized that Henry's suspicions were true. Kristina said that before a queen, she was a mother. She had already lost a son. Therefore, she will ensure that Wilhelm gets happiness, whatever the price she has to pay.
Meanwhile, Henry was questioned by his grandmother, who is also the headmistress of Hillerska, about what really happened. So far, even though they knew about Henry and the crown prince's relationship, their families decided not to interfere. But after their relationship ended not long after rumors spread about Henry's affair with Walter and the Queen was so angry that she withdrawing funding from Hillerska, this became their family problem.
The headmistress reminds Henry that he cannot break ties with the royal family, especially with their future king who forced to reveal his sexual orientation in order to be with him. As long as Wilhelm doesn't hurt him physically or cheat on him, they need to find solutions to any problems in their relationship.
When Henry came out of the headmistress' office with an annoyed face surrounded by their friends, but at the same time looking like he was waiting for Wilhelm to approach, Wilhelm knew that he had won. #edvinryding #fabianpenje #unoelger #alternateuniverse
