I think that’s a nice find and you seem to have most of it. I’ll bet if you told Josh you’d paint it and put a 2 liter engine he’d be into it. Have him do all the welding and grinding and tell him it can be his to drive as his first car or if not to sell towards what he wants. I know chicks will dig it if you do a nice restoration🙂

Woof! Good luck finding a roof bow for that - they were molded of epoxy and wood chips. I had a 67 'vert BITD. It would have cost me $350 for that bow in 1975. I stripped the engine I had rebuilt out of it (1600cc jug kit, line bored case, bearings and did the valves) and sold the chassis with a used engine. Engine went to my Dad's 67 sedan and he'd do 40 in first.

The only thing with the youngest one what worked out is music🤣 so we go to a concert once in a while 😊. But they are still young and maybe time will make a difference. My kids are 18 and 20. nope, look into them ...oem 60's cap had the logo cap through 67 ...i thought they were repop caps with a repop tank when i 1st saw one. Didn't see the small VW logo stamped on it .
