I am from USA and I have been to Puerto Vallarta several times. I always stay in the Zona Romantica area at a beach front hotel on the Los Muertos beach just south of the Peir. I love this area. We always walk from the beach at our hotel up to the peir and all the way up yhe Malecon. The hotel I stay at also has two infinity pools, an outdoor rooftop restaurant, awesome sunsets. LOVE the Zona Romantica area. All the little shops, restaurants, bars/clubs and the locals are so amazing. I just have to say too that Oscar is an amazing guide, I had the privilege of hiring him in the past. Thank you Oscar 🙏
Hi, Oscar. Just came back from our 15th trip to pv. The thing that stood out on this trip is that we were able to get into both cafe de olla and Pulpito 116 with out waiting in line. Also, some of the markets on Isla Cuale were not bartering for souveiners.
Hey Oscar didn’t know about the donkey place, pretty funny. We are HUGE fans of “the fat boy” in Bucerías. If you go to the “old” fat boy in the merchant tents just east of the square ask for Francisco, they also opened a new fat boy a few blocks west on the same ocean road that is much fancier but still on the beach. Menu and prices (not cheap) are the same at both with great food, Cadillac margaritas made at the table and amazing service. Hope you are doing well, see you in a few months
Hey Oscar, I am going to Puerto Vallarta next week and I still have not booked a place to stay! I am between a condo in the romantic zone or a small hotel beachfront in conchas chinas. I can’t decide 😩 do you think the drive is worth it if I am going to be going to the romantic zone multiple times a day to be in front of the quiet beach?
well conchas chinas is a great place, just the beach is awesome and is always worth to stay in a nice place a little away from the downtown where is noisy, but if you really enjoy the zona romantica and steps away from this area you must choose stay close.
