Aloha guys! You did an excellent job explaining the cultural diversity of Hawaii and the history of the plate lunch. Truly Hawaiian ethnic cuisine is not represented in these dishes but regional "local" foods of Hawaii. For actual Hawaiian cuisine like laulau, kalua pork and poi, try Lulu Hawaiian BBQ on Durango. I think the oldest restaurant serving Hawaii local cuisine is Aloha Specialties at the California Hotel downtown. I love their teriyaki beef and saimin. Mahalo nui loa!

While there are few foods I don't like, there's something about the mayo with pasta I find unappealing. In addition, this particular mac salad had a strong relish background flavor I didn't care for.

They have foods all from Hawaii,Korean ,Thailand Vietnamese ,Malaysian ,Japanese, Chinese.ect. Don't have to choose if everyone wa t different things to eat...

I was born and raised in Hawaii as my family came here in the 1800’s…..so now you understand why when I visit the mainland…I can’t find places to eat for lunch….i do not like hamburgers …I want Asian food…not mainland Asian. 😂

You need to work on your chop stick skills!!! Most of the food featured are Americanized Chinese food not Hawai'i style Chinese.
