This album does not get old. Helpless Dancer is so simple yet so sharp. I love it. Petes story is a slice of social history, Mods and Rockers made their mark in. England. the music is universal.
Quadrophenia album is about a young man called Jimmy growing up in the early 60s during the time of Mods and rockers in Britain whilst struggling with how to fit in , peer pressure, self identity and mental illness.
I'm not a religious man, but i hope and pray this nation can someday come together. I love America. It make me so sad that my nation is so torn apart now. Music can bring the whole world together. Long live Rock! Be it dead or alive!
Sorry things are so difficult for you right now. But you've got the strength, which has carried you to where you are, to see these times through. Time changes everything. Regarding the music, when you reach the end of Quadrophenia, sit quietly somewhere and listen to the whole album. So moving! John played the French Horn, by the way. Most brass on Who records was played by him.
I’ve Had Enough has the Love Reign O’er Me chorus throughout the song. If you can’t do it next week promise us you will give it a listen. Equally as powerful as Reign!
This is totally a journey of self discovery. This came out when I was 15 and the anger release, oh hell, everything was so relatable. And then the softer sounds and the musical sounds and voices. It just all came together for me to where there's no way you stop after one song. 1-side of the album at a minimum. And it goes super fast because it's all connected. This was Who's masterpiece, and I'm finding it and putting it in the car! haha!
Luv this album. On a side note the who's tommy has been nominated for Tony award for best revival. Tommy previously won Tony awards during their 1st run on Broadway
I love Quadrophenia, for me it's much better than Tommy, more relatable and joined up. Great reaction, I need to go back and watch from the beginning. Cheers
As good as the album is so far, it only gets better from here. The next two tracks go up another level. And Roger's singing across the entire album is arguably the best of his career. Pretty sure that was Chris Stainton on "Helpless Dancer". Pete's a decent pianist, but I'm not sure he's that good.

This is my favorite who album and in my opinion one of the best concept albums ever! Not one bad song.
Could not agree more

Best ever Who album,
According to Pete, Roger found his voice when they recorded Tommy.
My favorite Who album. The 5.1 surround mix is fantastic as well.

Oh I'm definitely going to do it! I just couldn't fit it in this week. A lot of stuff going on unfortunately 😕 hopefully it will get better.
'I’ve Had Enough' captures the essence of Quadrophenia for me. It is at the heart of the story.

"Is It In My Head" should’ve been released as a single. It’s got one of the catchiest choruses on the album and that lush guitar and piano by Pete.
Hope u find a little joy today L33. 2 amazing songs by the who.
The movie is unsane!! I cant wait...I never miss your Who Wednesday

The Kids are Alright would be 🔥
The Who song drop in sets the times for the opera, early 1960s.
The Who is always great
Hope you have better days in the near future.

The electric guitar in "Is it in my Head" is Townsend at his best.
Rock on.
great album!
John Entwistle for the win on the chorus vocals.
The Real Me, 5:15, Love Reign O'er Me
