GLENN HUGHES IS AN EXTRAORDINARY BASS PLAYER BUT WHEN HE BEGINS TO SING I TAKE OFF MY HAT HE IS THE BEST ON THE PLANET FROM ARGENTINA I GREETINGS TEACHER. Comentarios
Always loved Glenn Hughes... "The Death of Me" was one I always searched for after Deep Purple. But, he can't remember "We ended up in the Grand Hotel Verse 3? Ha ha-ha ha!!! If you're reading this, and btw, Thanks Glenn for everything, listen to "Burn" with Glen, and Joe Bonamassa...that's how it's done!! Of course, nothing beats Live In Japan-Deep Purple. We all agree?
Its one great concert and i dont can wait my time is coming to watching too live this incredible and peculiar tribute for Mr Glenn Hughes of your golden era in Mark 3 n 4 in Deep Purple and here solo vocals and amazing like in duo with David Coverdale congrats the voice of rock is the legend alive of this great era of rock 🎸
Everyone is talking about the voice, but what about the bass playing? His picking hand movement is lesson in economy of motion. You don't have to beat the hell out of the bass in order for it to sound good.
I come to songs like this not only because of the Artist, and their players, but the Genre'. We termed the saying "Snapping" in a town in SE WI. This is such, after seeing Zep with Plant in 1970, Queen with Mercury in 1975, including Uriah Heep with Byron, and mostly English Hard Rock guys. Seems like it's a pattern of great vocalists? That's why I'm here!!
Guitar is not out of tune. The way he starts the rift in Smoke on the Water is intentional. Blackmore used to do that in live concerts sometimes too. sounds awesome. Believe me these guys know how to tune a guitar if it needs it. LOL
@Jack-vc8id well, OK, he sang it with coverdale, but Glenn is a big part of dp legacy, whether you like or or not. He has every right to sing sotw. I'm just respectfully disagreeing with you that he has no relation with it.
Covering songs of the band when you weren't in it, feels a bit awkard overhere... as well as having your own face on a backdrop... the nerve... 07:45 is what I guess Blackmore meant by he didn't want to play shoeshine music. Glenn stole his band from him and had his way with it. No wonder Ritchie quit.
He had 25 minutes and 2 out of the 3 songs he didn’t write or perform with the original band. We get it, you were in Deep Purple. At least stick to the songs you wrote with them.
He has maintained a constant respect for Ritchie Blackmore and gratitude for being given that massive break to join Purple. I believe he plays these songs from that sentiment, and that he genuinely loves those songs. After all, he plays them with real fire.
il n'est resté que 2 ans dans deep purple et quoi qu'on en dise c'est la plus mauvaise partie musicale du groupe car la musique était "funky" bref à fuir...et c'est pour cela que Ritchie était parti !
Not having a go here, but he is replicating Deep Purple's mk 4 concert playlist of 1975/76 when Tommy Bolin was the guitarist and Glenn sang the Ian Gillian songs
Glenn Hughes is a great bass player and singer.

I also thought it was great in the 70s and I will always listen to it. Thank-you for the Music 🎶💖🎶💖🎶💖✌️💪👍💖

Set list shold have been Getting Tighter, This Time Around and Burn
Ian GIllan go home !!! Glenn went thru hard times way back in but never looses his gifted voice.
Mark IV was the best line up of Purple....the most innovative , creative, and talented ....!! Glenn , Bolin and Coverdale were so perfects

Come On 4003 ‼
The best of the world
when will yngwie and glenn round out their career and do one album and as many tours as possible
que animal!!!!!!
Glen เป็นนักน้กร้องนำประเภทฮาร์ทชี้นเยี่ยม

If you put a filter on this video and make it look old, it could perfectly pass for a concert from 1975.
Could You record soundboard video with Jeff Kollman on Guitar ? Pls
Don't have anything with him, sorry.
Dude is ageless.
na super falceta pajima ,,
Хьюз под Яна Гиллана работает?)))
Was that Nicko McBrain in the backround?
1:40 guitar needs tuning??
And so?
@@lostveggas 'and so?' - so it was out of tune and didn't sound brilliant - in fact at 2:03 you can see he makes a quick adjustment.
@@fastra3621 so what? this is a live concert, the guitar can get out of tune, that's normal.
Guitar is not out of tune. The way he starts the rift in Smoke on the Water is intentional. Blackmore used to do that in live concerts sometimes too. sounds awesome. Believe me these guys know how to tune a guitar if it needs it. LOL
Glenn hughes Legend!
Kinda weird how this sounds better (in my opinion) than deep purple performing anymore
Если бы не D.P кто бы его знал???
Look up rocker Glen will come up first!
Funny how Glenn sings Smoke not being related to it at all))
Even funnier how he does it better than deep purple themselves
But he sang these songs when he was in deep purple. And can still sing. So why not?
@@fatdragon2008 well, not he, but coverdale, and anyone can sing these songs… but here we’re talking about benefiting on DP legacy
@Jack-vc8id well, OK, he sang it with coverdale, but Glenn is a big part of dp legacy, whether you like or or not. He has every right to sing sotw. I'm just respectfully disagreeing with you that he has no relation with it.
@@fatdragon2008 well i love glenn a lot, and he IS a pard of DP in such masterpieces like burn, stormbringer, keep on moving, etc..
Take 2- Funny how Glenn sings Highway star not being related to it at all))
And belting effortlessly throughout
He played it with mk3
@@haagholm dozens of people played it with mark I - mark ∞, do they have any rights to play it? )
Has only Mk. II the right to play it?
Naja, er ist kein Gillan
Decent Purple cover band. Singer's a bit screamy, don't think Ian's losing too much sleep.
Got It Buddy, Ian Gillan Rules!! mob

He's not covering, he played those songs with Purple in the seventies.
@@geromedelaforet6695 I can't remember La Hughes in Deep Purple when they published Smoke on the Water and/or Highway Star.
@@trikkke11 Glenn played these songs live in the seventies as a member of Deep Purple.
@@geromedelaforet6695 Why play Gillan songs when he's got some of his own ? That's my point.
@@trikkke11 I prefer him singing Mk. III songs.
Poteva evitare di fare smoke and water...per il resto bravo
I just wish he would stop pretending he is Ian Gillan and stay true to what he can do.
Glenn ist geil aber Ian ist geiler .

guitars outta tune
Too much screaming and out of pitch vocals. You can better Glenn, i know you can.
Highway fucking slays!!! All of em really held their own!!! Wicked.

WTF is Glenn doing singing SOTW? He has literally nothing to do with song....
The great concert.
Not having a go here, but he is replicating Deep Purple's mk 4 concert playlist of 1975/76 when Tommy Bolin was the guitarist and Glenn sang the Ian Gillian songs
wasn't Glen who said that he did it only for money???? That smoke was shit?
