It's actually very simple, really. Everyone's too used to a politician that does not keep their word Trump is someone that actually legitly keeps his word if he says anything he's going to do it no matter what. Especially now since they literally tried to kill him during his campaign. So, no more playing games with everyone.

Canada really does need to fix our borders we have way to much guns and drugs coming into Canada from America. Not really. It’s a 2 way street. At least, with China, at the moment. Their economy needs our dollars, but our economy needs their incredibly cheap goods. As for Canada and Mexico, American companies have used them as a way of avoiding tariffs on certain goods, but their manufacturing could be brought back to the U.S., further punishing their economies with higher unemployment. Trudeau knows this, and that’s why he’s resigning as Prime Minister. The Mexican President is just as stubborn and wants to fight, but she’s in the same situation as the Canadian government.

The USA doesn't subsidize Canada (or any Nation). That would mean that the USA gives Canada free money so Canada can stay afloat. That's not how anything works.
Canada sells their crude oil to the USA at a major discount, which turns into 1000's of jobs in the USA to process that raw oil into processed petroleum (gasoline/diesel/etc).
A 25% tariff means that crude oil going from Canada to the USA will cost AMERICANS more money to import that oil. That's a huge mistake, as the US Dollar is worth WAY more than the Canadian dollar right now, so instead of importing crude oil and an even CHEAPER price, Trump is adding a 25% tax on Canadian oil imports, so that dollar exchange-rate advantage is erased.
With the 4 years Trump has in office, the USA doesn't have enough time to start drilling for American oil at a rate that replaces the amount of cheap oil they were getting from Canada.
Meanwhile, Canada will not struggle to sell crude oil elsewhere, as everyone around the world uses it, and needs it for fuel, one way or the other.
Canada and the USA have been best friends for decades, trading between each other more than any two nations, and helping each other with every disaster or emergency that either Nation has faced (fires, hurricanes, wars, 9/11, etc). Within a week, Trump has destroyed that relationship.

@@no.1spidey-fan182 He is making businesses come back to our country. Most businesses left America back in the 90s because they could franchise their business there cheaper. Now, the other countries have to pay us tariffs; that would make them charge more for being American businesses. If they come back to the US, we will not charge them twice in here. The more businesses we build here in the USA using our own resources without relying on imported products, the more jobs will open up, and we can use our own money for infrastructure and the economy. We've been paying tariffs to another country and also giving them billions of dollars for decades. They should do the same. Instead of giving them millions of dollars per year, how about we use our own money to fix this country?

The main thing people in US don’t seem to understand that other nations have cheaper labour force and some have better established education system.
The failure in US economy as whole started during the last year of Bush Senior Administration with the proposal of NAFTA.
Since then the horse as we say in Eastern Europe is drown .
The other issue which US soon will encounter in next five years it will be that the country will be no longer the biggest market in the world.
There is countless other issues like infrastructure, tax reform, medical reform and educational just on top of my head.
I am sure Trump will put a new paint on the pig and declare that he fixed the issue😂😂😂.

Now we got to go through the pain of setting the bones properly so that they will heal properly and stronger in the long term. The same analogy can be applied to many different scenarios including what we will have to do to handle the out of control spending and national debt problem. Won't be pretty but we must go through the pain so our grandchildren don't have to.

I see people complaining about the prices but they never listen to what’s going on, the entire thing is to be treated fairly and start deregulation of trying to make a business in the states and producing our own products again. We have fuel we don’t need it. We have enough to last over 500 years or something crazy like that.
