the old The Amityville Horror movies were made back in the day because it was one of ed and loraine most famous cases and the movies were basically made off their investigation
The actual family this happened to had said when they would have paranormal experiences it was almost like they were in a bubble. No matter how loud they were no one else would wake up. They said they had to start going to the bathroom at night with a partner. So you were never alone. Kind of of explains the scene with the pictures falling and mom yelling not waking anyone up.
Like the fact that in the family's words after the exorcism done by Ed Warren the haunting got worse instead of better. I am not one who believes in hauntings nor possession, but I thought I would relate what I recall from the actual case.
@@Nope2022HugeTheWarningFan I don’t believe in possession or demons but I think there’s something to the whole ghost phenomenon. Not sure what it is but I’ve had a couple minor experiences and have friend and family I know and trust who have had some more major ones as well. You’re absolutely correct about the activity getting worse after the Warrens. The other thing a lot of people don’t know was that at the end of the seance (not an exorcism in the real story) Carolyn Perron, the mother, was physically thrown out of her chair and into the next room and the Perrons ended their relationship with the Warrens by Roger Perron punching Ed and throwing them both out of their house. Then the family continued to live in the house for 8 or so more years. The Warrens in reality were just a tiny chapter of the story that went on for that decade they lived there.
What people usually miss about this is Rory (boy in music box) was helping the girls to hide by showing the one sleep walking girl the secret room in the closet. Thats where he use to hide.
What really makes this movie masterpiece of horror is not only the perfect execution of suspense and terror, but that you truly care about both the Warren and Perron families. Great reaction from you two! I'm pretty sure that because the Annabelle incident was the first major case that brought the Warrens to prominence, the filmmakers used that as the first part of the movie basically as an introduction story-wise to Ed and Lorraine, and why Carolyn would approach them regarding her family's situation, which was the actual "conjuring" of the movie.

Ok you guys gotta see the second one now! The fact that they are based on The Warren's adventures is so cool. Lorraine was around for the movies until 2019. What was with the reaction about your reaction…? I love it ❤ this was the most genuine reaction I have seen on the channel. Was no forced fillers like in every other new reaction. You too are my favourite to watch professionally and just to kit it with watching a movie. 🍿
The intro with Annabelle the doll is simply introducing the Warren's and their dangerous work, and she is later used to raise the personal stakes for the Warren's during the exorcism.
This was a perfect team-up! Y’all don’t HAVE to watch more horror together (though that would be absolutely so fun!) but PLEASE watch more together!! The dynamic is gold Also, since y’all discussed getting more into horror: this was my first horror movie in theaters, I was floored by how amazing it was, which was the start of me getting a lot more into and comfortable with horror! Please PLEASE watch at least the sequel
I'm not a horror movie fan. My late girlfriend (RIP) was and got me to go see this with her in the theater. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie. Well written, directed, and acted. I was aware of the Warrens so although I didn't know it was "inspired" by them when we went to see it, my GF was surprised afterward about how much I knew of them. She also was a HUGE fan of Insidious and because I enjoyed this, I gave Insidious a shot, and I liked it as well. So, I can say that I like the Conjuring and the Insidious Universes (for the most part,) but I still do not like "horror" movies (especially the ultra violent and ultra gruesome ones) in general. This was fun, please do more! ~Be Blessed
I've just come back to this video after your intro to the Conjuring 2, and Greg was right definitely quieter than usual. You've definitely gotten more comfortable working together since then, because you two are now my favourite horror reactors on TH-cam.
Yes Roxy you haven't been talking to the right people about the movie, (probably because you haven't seen it before) but for me, someone who live in Malaysia, its part of our cultural zeitgeist that The Conjuring is the Citizen Kane of modern horror movie that all new horror (possession) movies will be compared to it.
My great grandpa passed in 2019, in July 2020 his wife followed him with a terrible stroke (they said her brain had pretty split and was like jello)and they were going to take her to the nursing home and me I didn’t want that for her even though she wasn’t really there anymore. I asked my grandpa to take her, I think it was you take her right now! I felt a hand pat my shoulder, I turned around and saw a silhouette walk away. Not even a minute later, their daughter calls me saying my grandma had passed. I’ve had a few experience since then and my cat has also seen some things or sensed some things? I’m not sure which but yup my grandparents watch over me from time to time
I rewatched this video after your reaction to the second movie and you guys weren’t quiet at all. This is a great video . Hope we see more conjuring vids soon 😊😊😊

I enjoyed revisiting this one with you guys! It was fun to see your reactions.
Glad you girls are watching this. This is probably my all-time favorite horror movie. For this being an R-rated movie, it's surprisingly the least R-rated movie I have ever seen. Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga and director James Wan put their foot all up in this film. Hope this means y'all are covering The Conjuring Universe films before The Nun 2 comes out.
Yay! I love this film. The ninth of the series is coming out soon. Annabelle is used to expand and establish the universe. Even the flashback of scaring Lorraine is utilized in a future film. You two are awesome!
I know it's been a couple of days. But in this movie Annabelle is used to show you what Warren's jobs are. They open up with them on a case to establish that they investigate paranormal happenings.
@@roxystriar I think you would enjoy a deep dive on the warrens and all the cases they had over the years. They were on acne during the Amityville horror stuff too.
i used to sleepwalk a lot when i was a kid, but my parents didn't take it seriously until i unlocked the front door, walk to the neighbor's, knocked on the door, and told them my mom and dad were dead. :/ HIGHLY recommend watching the entity. it's based on a true story, the doris bother case, and it was the only movie as a kid that scared the hell out of me.
Not gonna lie i love the connection between Conjuring trilogy Anabelle trilogy And the nun as much as people hate on it i actually love how vizzare it is 😂 people forget its not about a ghost
Yes!!! Finally, you two in a reaction together. Great reaction to a great movie. This movie surprised me, I didn't think I'd like it but it's much better that the critics said IMO
The Warren's investigated the Amityville house from the movies. She used to guest on the paranormal show "Paranormal State" later in life after Ed had passed
The real story about this family is way scarier than what was depicted in this movie. The Warren's made things worse by being there. The family lived in the house for 10 years! Andrea Perron, the oldest daughter, wrote a series of books called "House of Darkness, House of Light." If you're interested in what truly happened, I suggest reading the books.
Fun fact I’m not sure if any other state or movie theaters did this but at mine (I’m from Fort Worth, Tx) they actually had a REAL priest offer to pray for you before watching the movie 😂 and yes some people did it.
Based on true events! It was a box office and critical success, making $330 million dollars against a $25 million dollar budget, making one of the highest grossing horror films of 2013.
So um, not so fun fact, I guess… When Ed said “our presence will probably make things worst”, he wasn’t really lying. Well, not completely at least. In real life one of the daughters ( Andrea Perron) wrote a book about their experience, & it was completely different from what we saw in this movie. The family was also interviewed, & they said that the Warrens actually made things worse. Ed & Loraine tried to perform a seance to try talking to the spirit & that after they tried doing that, Roger Perron just kicked them out lol. Which is hilarious to me because in the movie they perform a whole exorcism. Just goes to show how far people are willing to go when it comes to lying or “stretching the truth”. These movies are classics, & definitely entertaining, but not at all “based on a true story”.

Yes Roxy you haven't been talking to the right people about the movie, (probably because you haven't seen it before) but for me, someone who live in Malaysia, its part of our cultural zeitgeist that The Conjuring is the Citizen Kane of modern horror movie that all new horror (possession) movies will be compared to it.
in indonesia too, this movie revive the horror genre for me.
Wow, love the woman of the rejects power here! 😂
OK, I have recently seen more of both Tara and Roxy on the channel, but first time seeing just the 2 of you react to something together, and it was so much fun 😂. I now sing along with Tara, cause you have too lol.
I was cracking up with that comment when Tara confused Anabelle for Megan 😂😂
Please continue to watch The Conjuring Movies. I enjoyed revisiting this one with you guys! It was fun to see your reactions.
Love this!
Do not go to a haunted place. It follows.
You two are awesome!
i hate what anabelle series do to this conjuring universe man. anabelle is a subpar to conjuring and insidious.
I know it's been a couple of days. But in this movie Annabelle is used to show you what Warren's jobs are.
They open up with them on a case to establish that they investigate paranormal happenings.
Yoo im really enjoying seeing Tara and Roxy more on the channel. Nice to see fresh faces every now and then.
Thanks for the warm welcome
Had to subscribe for that “ring the bell” iconic
James Wan is the king of horror genre.
Yeah I love these two as regulars on this channel. ❤
Thanks!!
@@roxystriar I think you would enjoy a deep dive on the warrens and all the cases they had over the years. They were on acne during the Amityville horror stuff too.
I am here to see if the Shejects were really quiet in this very first one
Honestly this introduced me into horror because this movie is beyond scary and horror especially the sequel loved this reaction ❤️❤️
i used to sleepwalk a lot when i was a kid, but my parents didn't take it seriously until i unlocked the front door, walk to the neighbor's, knocked on the door, and told them my mom and dad were dead. :/
HIGHLY recommend watching the entity. it's based on a true story, the doris bother case, and it was the only movie as a kid that scared the hell out of me.
15:14 the cupboard scene always knocks me off my ass😅😂
Wow. Greg and John gave changed. Lol. Love the Conjuring universe. You two are great and I hope we can watch more together!
The Conjuring is a great film. Seems like you all had a great time.
Not gonna lie i love the connection between
Conjuring trilogy
Anabelle trilogy
And the nun as much as people hate on it i actually love how vizzare it is 😂 people forget its not about a ghost
welcome folks to the conjuring universe.
u r in for a ride !!!!
Yes!!! Finally, you two in a reaction together. Great reaction to a great movie. This movie surprised me, I didn't think I'd like it but it's much better that the critics said IMO
Her dimples are dancing ❤
When the mum goes to first meet the Warren's at the uni the real life Lorraine warren is also in the audience
Yo noti gang love y’all fr
Loved this! Can't believe this movie's 10 year anniversary is this month. I remember seeing it in theaters.
I’m a little surprised they still haven’t reacted to any of the other films from the franchise yet
If I'm not mistaken the real Lorraine was in person during filming of this movie. I think I read about it.
The team up we didn't know we needed excellent reaction my dudes 👍👍
The Conjuring 2 is crazy and the one you will believe more because in the credits, real footage or audio of the family that are being haunted.
The Warren's investigated the Amityville house from the movies. She used to guest on the paranormal show "Paranormal State" later in life after Ed had passed
The interviews of what really happened in the house are on youtube.
LOOOOVEE THE GIRLS TOGETHER! LETSSSS GOOO! RINGGGGGG DAAAAA BEEEEEEEElllllllll!!
The stairway scene made me literally SCREAM in theaters to the point that my roommate had ringing for a bit.
In an interview with the daughters after the movie came out, they said it was close to 100% accurate.
The Annabelle doll is actually a raggedy Ann doll. They had to tame down What actually happened for the movie.
yessssssssss!!!! So excited for this series with you ladies 🤍
Do you wanna play hide and clap and the hands appearing over her shoulder was scary AF
I would love for you two to Watch the second one too and the Annabelle movies too 🤞🏻🤞🏻🌸
Fun fact I’m not sure if any other state or movie theaters did this but at mine (I’m from Fort Worth, Tx) they actually had a REAL priest offer to pray for you before watching the movie 😂 and yes some people did it.
How is it that these movie masters haven’t seen these classics
23:19 Listen… honestly…. she’s right 🤣🤣🤣 I’m not THAT bad, but it’s still fair lmao
really fun to see skeptics being afraid of shit they apparently don't believe in lmao
I can't wait fr the second one. Great reaction ans team up 🔥
I remember Roxy from the old flash aftershows
Oh cool!
Based on true events!
It was a box office and critical success, making $330 million dollars against a $25 million dollar budget, making one of the highest grossing horror films of 2013.
Based on frauds.
So um, not so fun fact, I guess…
When Ed said “our presence will probably make things worst”, he wasn’t really lying.
Yooooo we got our favorites (except John we love John) side to side for once. Awesome to see, definitely rang my bell.
Keep up with the horror content, my favourite genre. I´m really enjoying these videos :)))
