- Big announcement! We’re moving!
It’s been a joy planting and nurturing my garden here in Vista. We’ve outgrown the house, though, and are moving to a larger property in Escondido. Many of my plants will be coming with us, so no tears!
Here’s to new beginnings.

When I saw the title: Saying goodbye, I went to panic 😳 But, thank you, God, you are just moving to a bigger house. I am sure the next videos are going to be too much fun to watch. Thank you, Laura, for your wonderful videos.

Oh my goodness--panic! Me too! It took a minute for my heart to start beating again (I hate it that my thoughts always go directly to worst case scenario/s!)! I am so relieved that it's just a move. Now I'm really looking forward to seeing the moving process and the magic Laura will create in her new yard.

Hope your husband installs another fountain for Bentley. He loves to drink from it!... No more golf balls flying through the air!....😊 I love your videos and have learned a lot about succulents from you. I love how succulents keep multiplying to make new plants and how they turn colors when stressed. I for sure will keep on watching! 😊

Love how calm and positive you are about the move and the new garden opportunities. We are in the midst of moving plants around that have been stationary for a couple of years. It’s time. Well, I went through all five stages of grief, mourned your loss, and accepted that making all these films was a lot of work, reconciled with gratitude for all you've given, and achieved equanimity - all before I pressed play! I'm so happy we still have you. I hope the move isn't too stressful, logistics and planning really are your skills, and I look forward to new things. 😀
At least it is on your terms this time. After seeing what you did with this garden I cannot wait for the next one. All the best for the move x
Holy crap girl! not like you guys don't do all of this everyday! How exciting though. Moving can be a dreadful thing to some ( I know, I deal with that everyday being a Realtor....), yet it all depends on how you look at it. New opportunities! A tad hotter climate in Escondido as you'll be slightly inland from your current location. Micro climates my friend, but you know that! You got this once again! I will admit that you and your team are brave soles to move a gardener. Roots run deep, but not so much with succulents....so you're good! I know I'll need a couple of semi trucks just to move my potted stuff when the time comes.
A new adventure and another garden scape. I know myself… I’d be taking a cutting of everything I love. I bet the next 3 weeks will fly. I will likely miss this yard, but I’m excited to see the next one. Happy packing! 😃
I wud take everything. My plants r my babies. U've invested so much time, love & energy in those plants. I wud not feel ok leaving my plants with strangers. Coz someone else wont take care of my plants like I wud.

WOW ! Big news. To use your words, yes, a daunting task but yet exciting to make a new start. I have moved four times after leaving my parents farm in the 1970s and I dread the thought of moving again at age 69.
(Annie) wow Laura, I remember well when you first moved in here and what a wonderful process that you brought to it and making it your own with the themes, finding the perfect chairs & umbrellas and getting into place a wonderful "slurp" space for Bently, from finding new pots and figuring out how to hide the a/c equipment, to figuring out a "golf course view", to the Grandbabies playing in the sand garden amidst the plants that you and Greg made toddler friendly with toys and such. It's pretty amazing how this garden has matured in such a short time. ! I for one, have always enjoyed the most of you creating anew for yourself so I am excited for you to get to a new place, with more room and potential and can't wait to see the progression of the next chapter. I only hope that the current owners get a new tenant that will love and appreciate what you have created and will be able to enjoy and upkeep what you lovingly leave behind. Yes, moving is a pain the you know what, but since you are so brave, I have no doubt you will handle with ease with Greg and lots of people helping you. I, like many, wonder about the constant renting, but hey, its California...land and houses etc are expensive and you all have done, no doubtedly, the best you could do, and made the decisions to be made, with your evolving business for so many years and how you fit your "real life" into it all. I really look forward to seeing you land in a new space, and making it really interesting, I think everyone will be cheering you on and happily anticipating a new start and some great fun that you will bring to your channel. This is the first video i have seen from you. Though its tough, you moving means more content to create for your subscribers. Lets just hope they take care of the plants you left behind.
I so panicked when I saw you say goodbye! So I’m happy to hear not only are you moving to a bigger place for your family? But you’re moving closer to where I live and I still plan on hiring you to help me with our front yard. I’m just saving my money! 🤗🥰
Another consideration on what you should take with you, is how much colder it is in Escondido. I know Debra Lee Baldwin lives there, and she has to routinely cover plants during the winter to protect from frost You might not want to have to keep an eagle eye on the weather and fuss with throwing frost cloth over Crassulas and Mangaves.
That's fun that you get to try out new ideas at your rentals! And I'm so glad you're not sad! Happy adventures to ya :)

Sounds like you are moving on your own terms and it will be great to have a bigger space for the whole family to gather. I would take the aloe tongaensis with, would not leave that big boy behind especially since he is mounded. Just save a 24 in box to place him in. They are very sturdy. We took our aloe hercules cutting 8 hours home. You could do this !!

Dear Laura, I got so nervous when I saw the word “Goodbye”! My heart skipped several beats, before I could understand the news wasn’t tragic. You are resilient to say the least! I’ve been busy in my yard, re-setting so many plants, up-potting, fountain re-do, I do love Spring! Moving is exhausting, and I feel for you, but God Bless You and your family!
