Saw him perform once in the UK supporting Gary Moore. Had never heard of Otis. But then he played, and was incredible and unforgettable. I felt ashamed of my ignorance and grateful that i had the opportunity to correct it. He is tremendous and I hope to see him again in England one day
Otis Taylor is the most important musican in my world. I cannot get enough of him, and have all his music, I've listened to him exclusively for going on 3 years now, with a few exceptions, honestly. If you listen once, you're hooked. He is dynomite in person, too. He says he is Trance Blues, well, I'm in it!
There is so much history, and hard work, and knowledge, and pain, and soul, and life experience all in his eyes. Its amazing. You just look at him, and your in a trance.. lol.
Just found out about this guy, love this song. Love the fiddle, all of it. Music really does sooth the soul, makes you happy, makes you dance, brings back memories, whether good or sad. Thank you Otis Taylor and Tiny Desk Concert. New fan.
Glad Otis mentioned the Denver Folklore Center! that place changed my life too! so many great folks have been through there. Really cool that now Denver folklore Center has Otis's signature OME banjo unless they sold it
I hope your recovery journey is going well, friend. Just remember that the past isn't always straight. Just don't give up and keep trying, even if you stumble.
Very good, lyrics match and unique. This concert also shows the importance of having live audio engineering on stage. The electric guitar when in solo needs to go up at least two bars.
Okay, Enigmatic, you can take it down a notch. Music is a big tent. Plenty of room for you to enjoy fine musicians like Otis without reflexively feeling you have to diss someone else's tastes at the same time.

Never heard of him till 2 years ago and Gary Moore!!! Anybody won’t to clue me in on some more high octane acts-past or presence(rip Gary Moore)
The banjo is quite soulful.
This deserves more views!!
I don't mind watching and listening more than once!
I'm an old fogey, but have been around. This is a great sound.

A on the road playlist is never complete without at least one song from him . So now you are good to go ✌️
My favorite line up of this band
A very genuine earthiness about his music, indicative of the man himself.
I could listen to Otis talk for days. And love how the fiddle player uses her entire body when she plays.
Thanks to films, I found Otis Taylor, a revelation of riches. Thanks for uploading this, it is simply uplifting.
Saw him at a festival in Raleigh NC 7 or 8 years ago and he is amazing... Talent travels... and as nice a man as you could meet....
Glad Otis mentioned the Denver Folklore Center! that place changed my life too! so many great folks have been through there. Really cool that now Denver folklore Center has Otis's signature OME banjo unless they sold it
i am blown away, just now discovering this guy!
Otis Thank you.

this is a meaningful song, so passionate of words
Wow where have you been all my life. Know exactly what “trance music “ is. I am in love.
Say what you will about the bass player, but his line is consistently spot-on... as opposed to others, not naming any names.
One of the best bass players around, his resume says it all
I love listening to these guys
I don't think I've ever seen a bass player make playing the same G note for 10 minutes straight looks so entertaining. Good for him! :)
I always loved hearing Otis Taylor playing banjo, I have the Recapturing the Banjo CD.
Its a great album, Rock on Otis Bro Happy Picking.
Just raw talent,! 👍👍👍🇬🇧
beautiful performance!
Almost Zydeco!!! I can hear the Creole and Cajun notes in it . Just found Otis and love it!!💖
I spontaneously started stomping around the house at 7:22 song. Liberating trance!

The bass player might be Jonah Hill....
haha hes chilin, that lil move like acord,id play bas like that top
Belirtilmedi remember the guy with the toe-thumb from The Machinist?
Sir
just, michael
when I play the same chord for 10-15 minutes people don't call it trance-inducing
Some experienced musicians might look down on songs with jut one chord, but it's not as easy as it sounds.. It's ALL about groove.
