Certainly runs and sounds great, especially for a machine that’s pushing 40!!! Wasn’t 1985 about the tail end of the woo woo belt drive option? I’m kinda thinking about 1986 and onward it was all direct drives. But I could be wrong.
The final belt drive whirlpool washers were made in 1987. Halfway through that year they shut the belt drive assembly line at the Clydesdale Ohio plant.
And intense cavitation at the end of drain going into spin!!!
I like these washers, along with the direct drives that came after.
The best too really makes me miss my 79 Kenmore
Gosh I miss those sounds from long ago. Saturday wash day.
That whirlpool was a good one.

I want to see a full cycle on a load of shirts and jeans
I can do that.
@@luvsthose8230s I'd love to hear it running empty to admire the violent typhoon of water inside.
@@jeromedavis8575 I can do that.
I'd like to see the super wash cycle with laundry detergent and fabric softener if available.
@@luvsthose8230s The sound of turbulence means so much to me. They didn't call these machines whirlpool for nothing.
Vintage for the win! 👍🏾😊
I love this wash action.
...welcome to the machine...
Strong agitation and strong pump!
