It's a great tool. I've been using an earlier model for 10-15 years now. Likely have a 1000+ hours on my machine. Great for building tips directly on diamonds. Laser you have to worry a bit more about too much coffee. Best friend for jump rings with most being a single pulse full flow weld. Faster than a laser in many cases, but you have to worry about imbedding the tungsten in your piece. Then grinding it out and rewelding. Especially in prongs as it will create a sharp spot as the prong wears down. Sharpening the tungsten gets old quickly when you're learning or when rebuilding 100 micro French set prongs that are so popular with the current trends. In my opinion, it's the best value to gain more capability in your shop if working on a limited budget. Then add a laser as well if it fits your budget to support the weaknesses of the other.
