Tyron Lue was fouling the hell outta AI that whole game and they was arguing a lot. That’s why the step over was so personal.
Lue wasn't fouling s**t he was playing lockdown defense on a.i. and iverson couldn't stand it lue got him out his rhythm and forced Iverson into some tough shots he made his lil step back finally and acted like he was torching lue lue had him in a vice grip in that game up until that point

I prefer Iverson due to stamina. The man was running the entire game like an NBA2k character. Iverson has led the league in scoring 4 times and in steals 3 times. Also, while in Philadelphia everybody knew he was gonna take the shot, he was always double-teamed, and he still won 4 scoring titles in a time of Kobe, TMac, Shaq, Vince, Paul Pierce...Kyrie played with LBJ when he won that one ring and hardly got double-teamed due to that. Not saying it is not close skill-wise, but all considered, I would always choose AI over Kyrie.

I know this is gonna piss people off but IMO Kyrie is the better player because, even though he isn’t the icon AI was, he is a more efficient shooter/scorer, has better handles, and has an overall better skill set. That being said, I still respect the hell out of AI.
@Juan Mollowda I would argue that while Kyrie has yet to “carry” a team to the finals, AI had the DPOY, COTY, and SMOTY on his team. Yeah AI was really the only legit offense they had, but if Kyrie was allowed to take as many shots as AI was than Kyrie would drop 40+ every night

Skill for skill Kyrie is better than AI. His overall handle package is also better than AI. AI had a better crossover but that is one aspect of overall handle. Iverson has had a better career so far and has accomplished more accolades but Kyrie is more skilled. People have a fascination with Iverson because he meant so much culturally and was doing things we hadn’t seen at his size prior but Kyrie has taken every bit of what Iverson can do with a basketball , done it better, and even added ten moves on top.

@@MrSilksoul MVP, More All Stars, More All NBAs, More scoring titles, etc. Iverson isn’t as efficient as Kyrie or a better shooter but overall he is a better player. Way better than Kyrie defensively too. Kyrie is my favorite player by the way.

AI have the better handle my opinion. see look kyrie handle is like yo-yo 🪀 but AI arm span so freaky long he’s force to dribble even lower than everybody else so sometimes kyrie handle looks better n more skill because his arm fits the body perfectly fine. When having handle it start with low dribbling skill, plus not mention AI change the game rules more than anybody when handling the rock they took AI crossovers out , the hop , just Unguardable! Both my favorite so yeah !
I agree. Kyrie looks like he has more handles because he dribbles more in younger people's eyes. AI didn't have to do as much to cross you because his hip flexibility allowed him to commit his entire body to the crossover. His crossover looked sweeter and his first step was a monster. Kyrie is not as quick and his handle is more compact. Compact handles, weaker hip flexibility, and slower first step causes Kyrie to do more combo moves. If Kyrie tried to do one move and go like AI, his handles wouldn't look nearly as sick/smooth. Wide handles are way harder to guard than compact handles. Steve Francis dribbled like AI too with the wide crossover. Kyrie is a hybrid between Iverson and Tim Hardaway, but has way sicker handles than Tim. However, Tim could break ankles with less dribbling because his first step was insane too. AI was like the legal version of Hot Sauce. The nod goes to Iverson because less is more, and Kyrie has to do more to get by his man than Iverson.
Kyre has a larger handle package but inversions is more deadly and precise .. he created more separation beating his opponents convincingly .. Kyre has to juggle more moves so that in combination he can land the hit .. I think that is also due to iverson being more athletic and much quicker faster than Kyre .. iversons crossover has more venom per hit ..
Their handles are very different. Iverson had an aggressive downhill attack dribble. Nothing fancy, just raw brutal change of direction and speed that very few players have the ability to do. Guys like him inflict their will. Those are your Derrick Rose, Russel Westbrook, Ja Morant types that are so fast that you have to respect every fake and Hesi. They move like a running back going downhill.
Kyrie has that to an extent but he’s not as explosive. What makes Kyrie special and even Steph has this in common. They have a counter handle style that looks slow at first but it’s a facade to throw off the defender and wait for them to reach or take the wrong step. That requires a wider repertoire of moves and lightning quick reflexes to make the right decision. They’re talented enough that what ever you do it’s pretty much picking your poison and taking what the defender gives them. Both are recipes for nasty ankle breaking ability.

Legend killer wasnt fair tbh. LeBron and Kyrie's match was more 2 teammates forced to fight after being on opposing sides, like captain America vs Ironman. People knew LeBron was human, he was just insanely good. MJ vs AI though was literally God vs man, and that was one of the first times a man, full of potential, walked into the scene and made God bleed after being Disrespected behind the scenes. All mike did was disrespect AI behind the scenes until this moment, recorded on television and cemented in history, carved in stone and written in the stars. Everyone wanted to be like mike until that moment. Then for a good time everyone wanted to be AI. He was winning, regardless.
Now if Kyrie succeeded in doing the same to Kobe the first time they matched up, maybe it would have been another repeat in history.
Kyrie has handles, but over dribble, while Allen Iverson has just as impressive handle yet he doesn't over dribble and attacks with intent. His moves are calculated as Kyrie just gonna dribble the air out the ball.
